She already had feelings for Rudra, but she had denied them. I think the turning point was when Rudra gave importance to her life more than his when he was drowning. Maya pushed him from the boat as he did not know how to swim. She expected him to die and fulfill her revenge, but Rudra held on to the boat. He thought she was trying to help him, but he felt that the boat would turn over and both would die. So he told her to let him go and live her life happily with memory of his love. This set Rudra apart for Maya as he gave more importance to her life than his.
It took her 8 years to plan her revenge, revenge is not just Maya Jaisingh's agenda, it is an integral part of her lifestyle, her clothes indicate what she wants in her life. This is result of a betrayal which shook her, how many people on forum doubt that Rudra is shady? Don't you think Maya, who has been betrayed in love would test before surrendering herself completely? She does not love Rudra, he is her sanak, she went to stab Ananya for making Rudra cry. I had expected Maya fighting her true feelings for Rudra because she is in this house for revenge but Rudra being sole reason for her to react is something I did not expect. Do you think that Maya is doing anything against MJ, Antara etc because they assaulted her? She is reacting only when people hurt Rudra, for me Maya has millions of reasons to react to MJ, Maya getting flashbacks and wanting to fight back would make more of an impact for viewers like me who are watching for the story
It's there from her side since beginning. Not like Beyhadh Pyaar but she does has feelings for him and impressed with his behaviour after every meeting. When she first saved her at the construction site she developed a soft corner for him that he isn't same as MJ. Then when he saved her from facing Media, in the party, when he went against MJ to sue him ,when he offered the last bite of cake as a good luck,when Rudra supported Maya during Rishi gf's case and many more incidents. That's the reason she never flinched at his touch and even allowed him to kiss her.
She has started developing feelings for him gradually and that's the reason Nandini,Rajeev,MyRa and even Maya's alter ego asked Maya to recheck her feelings for Rudra. But revenge is her main motto and she didn't want to get betrayed in love again,so she suppressed her feelings for him. But Rishikesh track was final nail in the coffin and after seeing his selfless love she had to give in and accepted her feelings for him
Maya's traumatic past just made her lost trust in people around her and when it comes to MJ 's son she was not supposed to trust at all however Rudra has always been proving it otherwise by showing how sensetive and caring he is. And Maya is the one who totally believed in love and has got betrayal and enormous amount of pain in return then even a smallest gesture of love and care could actually touch her. Even in very starting days of the show when Rudra help her by trying to hide her from media as she couldn't handle it , she was moved by his gesture and she pushed him away and was telling herself he couldn't make her feel weak by doing all this. It was like what he did for her was something so nice that even it could effect her that she may forget revenge so she is pushing him away. Maya basically was extremely emotional it's obvious that she could very easily fall for Rudra who has been caring for her in real.
She always knows that he is very passionate and sincere in relationships and that's why she was upset at times whenever she didn't find him acting as she expected.
Maya played games with him to get him to Rishikesh and planned to kill him only because she was so sure that he would come there and find her cause there was that love between them. She identified what she feels for him much before that he identified and also acknowledged but she only tried to choose her revenge over her love and tried to kill him but finally realized that she could never do that to him and also Rudra's live for her at the time changed her path too.
In all this , love and bonding was gradually developed with time being and infact it was acknowledged too but only choosen at Rishikesh.

Maya's revenge is one part of her life but she was always a rationale, sensitive woman, the way reacts to people when it comes to Rudra is just too sudden for me to digest, Maya getting furious and saying that none can take Rudra away from her to MJ's girlfriend is not making sense for me. Rudra loves Maya too but he doesn't kill people who make her cry, Maya is not a psycho in this season but with Rudra's mention she is just turning into Maya Mahrotra

Yeah those reactions from her were not normal. And then Maya was some one who lost everything in her life and here again she got true love when she least expected it and she is trying to hold on to this love and is too scared when she even find a sign of some one can steal this from her too, so she is reacting abnormal. She already was in dark for so long that she couldn't even feel that killing Rudra and Rishi is not correct as they are innocents but she planned it for 10yrs..she was justifying herself by thinking that it's their karma to born in MJ'd house and she is only taking revenge and all.. so she is not mentally fine.. even her mom knows that she may commit any mistakes in her mental state so she tied that daga.. so I think at times that her side of her will surface it when she feels that something can happen to Rudra or she may loose Rudra.. and so she is behaving extremed but some how Rudra's presence is not letting her to take that step so she is being calmed down ..
I am not justifying her I am just trying to understand why she is behaving in this way.
Actually from the beginning there was that constant positive vibe to her from Rudra.. esp when he went out of his way to do her 3 tasks..she kept hurting him but her conscience made her mellow down to him.. plus when he saved her from media and then MJ somehow his positivity had taken over.. that's y she never hated his touch because he never did it out of any intentions.. esp because she knows how MJ was who secretly eyed her and then played her.. she saw a total opposite person in Rudra which I feel attracted her.. that's y the kiss happened and even amidst her hate and revenge her heart grew fonder of him.. also he also fell in love with her and time and again her masks fell in front of his selflessness.. after the kiss it was completely on Rudra face and attitude that he was head over heels in love even though he dint accept and it dint go hidden for Maya also..

If we look back we could see their gestures and nuances which proved that they will surely fall in love. Rudra was attracted to Maya because to him she was like a mystery and Maya was unknowingly attracted to him because he was different and unpredictable irrespective of Maya's plan. She was actually impressed with him that he acts differently whatever Maya had planned for him he was just not ready to fall for her MayaJaal like during that sequence when Maya was instigating Rudra to conduct the press conference and reveal the true colors of his father....he didn't fell for it also Rudra had also made some sweet gestures like asking her if she is OK or not... plus he was the one who saw her vulnerable side in the office when she was crying like a baby. He saw her taking care of her mother like a normal girl. So this time compared to the last season I was able to feel some spark and emotions from both the side. Last time I felt it was too sudden for someone like Maya to recognize her love in Arjun also Arjun falling for her right from the moment when she saved him... Somehow I couldn't digest it though I really liked their chemistry but now I feel like I used to like ArYa's chemistry nowadays for me they don't even stand in front of MayRa's intensity. Yeah , when it comes to love, this season is much better, and also here we can seen why Maya has fallen for Rudra and vice versa where as I could never figure it out how and why Maya has fallen for Arjun in season 1.
For me the pace also is quite fine. It's just that Maya and Rudra figured it out very fast that they are for each other and it actually makes sense since they are having their past relationships where they learned lessons once. And also, they know what it is missing in their lives and what they are carving for.
No matter how complicated it is, when they find each other emotionally satisfying and knows that they are compatible , then they couldn't afford to loose each other as they are aware that is what it is most important in their lives.
Though they were shown trying to push away each other since they felt it can't be worked out .. they always knows that they are still together emotionally. It's like he was still going to her whenever he is feeling low. She was still feeling that he was her Rudra and expecting his support whenever she needed and also they two were having many moments together where they are trying to listen from each other about the bonding between them.
Then that marriage day comes then they know that they will be loosing each other for ever so all that push and pull between them and the result was getting married.
Like I seriously liked it very much how CV's has written entire Myra story so beautiful and tragic.
