Ananya, IMO, has the above 2 qualities. She has potential to improve, of course. But the choices in actresses are limited.

To me, I feel Kangana is the best actress we have. I don't like her off screen personality, but she's a powerhouse of talent.

Deepika is the best all- rounder.

........BUT you chose the worst product of nepotism ever to enter the industry to defend which is Ananya Pandy....the girl is a walking cring from the way she talks to her attitude, India's version of those American valley girl portrayed in movies like Clueless...so what talent and star quality you are talking about? I cant see....and that whole struggle speech she made on the round table...did you watch that?

I seriously recommend you watch the movie Soni if you sport talent as you say....Geetika Vidya Ohlyan and Saloni Batra are the only deservings of the debut award this year 100% but the sad thing they were not even nominated....as for Ananya Pandy she can keep giving more interviews about her so-called struggle

Yes, she is thrust down people's throats. Yes, she has a godfather.yes, she is a product of nepotism.

Despite all this, she has not delivered extraordinary performances or been able to captivate every time. She has been strictly mediocre. She is no Kangana or Vidya Balan, who chews up everyone else on screen. She is not a terrific actress on the top of her game.

Why is her mediocrity celebrated as excellence?

Along with Deepika according to me , both are mediocre .

Deepika and Alia I agree are at the same level in acting, but what elevates Deepika is that intangible something called star quality and aura and screen presence. I would pay to watch Deepika on screen just as I would pay to watch Kangana and Ileana D' Cruz.

Actually..the ability to connect with the audience (deepika) is strong. I would say she is weaker than alia in acting, personally. But her ability to portray memorable characters with impact is much much stronger. From chennai express to cocktail, I remember her character, not necessarily her acting.

with alia, I will remember her acting more (in the cases that its good), people may remember her abrupt crying/break down scenes and only think of that..calling her an amazing actor by the end of the movie. Beyond that..she brings nothing to the table that another actress with better acting skills cant do. Like you said, the intangibility factor is not there.

No, she isn't mediocre but above average. And she is good in certain roles like simple girl next door roles but bad in comedy. She is lucky one to get success and is smart enough to maintain it. No KJo can't guarantee success, only luck and public can.

Now that Ranveer 's movie is a BB she wants to be linked to him. I hope he learned his lesson with Rocky aur Rani. She has no shame at all. "...
