The yardstick for kuhus maturity is her ability to suck it up. And no one in the maheshwari house is allowed to feel anything other than BM, BP and Mishti.
I was always worried about Kunal and how he was going to change after calling a truce with Mishti. Will he completely overlook the tension between the two sisters and blindly support mishti? But his earnest request for the mandap today gave me hope. He's on kuhus side. He'll help her through this phase like she did for him.
I'm just curious as to how kunal will handle these relationships.
@bold: THIS.
I was also worried about Kunal and though, like you said, he showed a lot of promise yesterday (that sarcastic remark about Kuhu not wasting her smile 😈) I am still worried. I really hope they give him the kind of complexity they gave Kuhu in the post-marriage phase. She didn't blindly support Kunal and called him out on his BS at every opportunity, but she was also not made into a psychophant for the leads. Basically, she was allowed to have her own, independent stance on things and chose to keep her and Kunal's issues between the two of them. Really crossing my fingers that Kunal does the same!
Coming to the episode, I completely agree with you. That scene with Meenu in front of the family was so sweet. Kuhu finally had one senior family member who appreciates her struggle and gave her the freedom to take her own decision whereas Meenu had one kid who values her opinion.
BP and BM are big hypocrites in the sense that they give Mishti the freedom and choice to make her own decisions whereas in case of Kuhu, they give that choice to Varsha and Shaurya. Why should her life always go forward depending on what others decide for her?? The Maheshwaris annoyed me so much today. You're not treating all your kids equally, Vishambhar.
I was cheering Kuhu on when she snatched those papers from Kunal's hands, and explained how Meenu had encouraged her to claim her rights. What nonsense is this? Kunal signs based on Shaurya's approval, Shaurya deflects to Vishambar and Vishambar goes to Nanu? Yes, the same Nanu, who just yesterday caused a huge stir because he carelessly called Mishti the "most special bahu" in front of his two other bahus, is the one Vishambar chooses to trust? The patriarchy of it all 😡
You can keep telling me Meenu and Kuhu are villians, and I will keep cheering for these women who don't let men make their life decisions, and empower each other to make informed choices. To each their own, I suppose.
I would like to keep my active interaction with the show to this forum, but if you'd like to pass Monday's post on to Kaveri, then you are welcome to do that! Anything I post on a public forum is fair game for sharing, as long someone isn't claiming it as their writing. 😃

Abir's Nanko is learning to handle multiple relationships at once. Kya ye Parul ki advice ka kamaal hai?? Maa ne bola aur ladka agle hi din se patni aur pariwaar ke beech ka pul ban gaya.👏
I am excited to see where Kunal's character will go from here. As he said, he is still discovering himself.
BP is the most useless "Parivaar ka Mukhiya". Dude has zero sense on how take a decision. I just ranted profusely on the Kuhu-Varsha thread. If anyone wants to read it: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/152768434
I was cheering too!! I am so glad Kuhu spoke up!! And Big Ben is my female solidarity ki icon in this show. She may be off her rocker but she knows how to support her squad.🤗
@Snow, you could share it with Kaveri or even @Nami, you could. You already have a rapport with her and she did read your review of the episode. It would be interesting to her to see a complete opposite analysis of the episode.
Agreed with the analysis/posts by @sam, aquaHP and puredrivensnow.
I am personally very bored of seeing only 2 types of women in ITV - the mary sue/mahaan female lead and the uber evil non-sanskari vamp. Kuhu’s character is a refreshing break for me. She isnt a cardboard cut out that fit in these categories of itv women. I can understand her insecurity and why she does what she does (i dont support all of it but I can comprehend her actions).

Also, I didnt really understand what BP means when he says “this family” has done a lot for Nish/Kuhu etc? Grandkids living in the same house in a joint family setting means doing a lot for them?
Kuhu's smile bhi yaha fake hi lag rahi hai
Can't believe she's not 1℅ care abt that she's finally get Kunal's love instead her mind is busy to think how to hurt Mishti and Win from her 😆
And here Kuhu/KuKu shippers want Kunal take responsibility Kuhu's insecurities 🤪
Ok! Forget abt Kuhu's childish behavior with Mishti but Why can't anyone talk Her not-so-interested attitude on Kunal's love, his feelings and all..
When Kunal do wrong with anyone Kuhu should leave that jerk, coward but when Kuhu do wrong, Kunal should take responsibility with her insecurities cause she ingnored by her fam Maheshwari. Then Kunal also manipulated by Menakshi from his childhood..
Please everyone discuss the two sides of the coin not only one side 🤪

I vote you or @Nami 😆

What are you saying?? That was the only time she smiled in the whole episode. (Side note: In this screenshot, it seems like Kaveri might be suppressing a snort at Kunal's cheesiness)
I don't think it's about winning for Kuhu. I think what the makers are trying to show is her trying to get her dream wedding by excluding Mishti because "Mishti nahi hoti to..blah blah blah". Because "Mishti ki wajah se sab kuch kharaab hua", that is why she wants her right on everything. I don't what the logic is behind portraying Kuhu as a 5 year old. It's like saying ki Mishti ne meri chocolate gira di to now I will take her chocolate. Makers need to show some sense.
Also, we aren't being shown KuKu scenes to ghanta excitement dikhegi kya. They are showing her to be more concerned about Mishti rather than things getting somewhat sorted. (Ek aur side note: I absolutely hated the way the situation was sorted out. Are these people even adults??) But I did see parts of the upcoming wedding segment and she does look happy in those so I guess that's that.
I think you answered the debate yourself by saying 'Kunal's wrongdoings' and 'Kuhu's insecurities'. There is a big difference in doing wrong (that too multiple times) and feeling that you were wronged. She hasn't done anything yet. As I said before, there is still time before shit hits the fan.

@bold-1: Exactly my thoughts! This character is like a breath of fresh air.
@bold-2: I think what he meant was supporting Nannu through his drug phase and taking Kuhu in even after her being Shaurya's illegitimate child.
