I think it was to hype the challenge that MJ took to destroy their relationship. But he will not harm rudra we know but he's gonna harm the love of Rudra for Maya. I have a feeling MJ will reveal Maya being maanvi to Rudra but again ek jhooth ke saath.. He might make Rudra believe that Maanvi came to avenge something from MJ by targeting his family. I remember it.. He won't let Rudra to go away from him! Although I know MJ wont hurt Rudy but he will hurt Maya with pleasure but that bomb hit on Rudy na! It can be Maya's nightmare too but still coloring paints on her will not be a dream I guess.. 

Then.. If MJ frames something on Maya also Rudy will not believe na without any proof..
