I think somewhere they were also banking on the first season's fans returning. Many of them did return with Beyhadh 2, so they thought why not with Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. What they don't realize is that the two situations are different. Beyhadh 2 fans returned because of Maya, not just because of the show. Plus new viewers latched on because of the concept (like myself). EDKV has a big fanbase because of the original Suman and Shravan. If those actors had returned then it would have been different, but here it's new actors with the same names and a whole different concept.

But fans should have to discover and go through new concepts...

Yeah it hurts to not see the same faces of your favourites in the remake, but we should give a chance to it...
