Aish was beyond perfect in JA. Roles in period sagas are tailor made for her. Can't wait for Mani Ratnam's next.

Actually Ash's face is such that she only suits in traditional Indian soft roles and damsel in distress type of roles.


Modern roles does not suit her face.



She has a calm face. Its a challenge for her to play the villainous Nandini Devi in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. The role requires evil expressions but her calm face will put it off every time she tries to act as evil.

I hope Mani Ratnam does give sympathy to her characterization.

^Ash isn't a complete villain in PS. She has a back story. She has a reason for seeking revenge.
