Because they are showing flashbacks now.. it wont make an impact to the viewers showing Maya romance both simultaneously..

Also I feel there is more to the fb and what happened with Maya.. so that's why she hates to be touched even... for me Rudy already gave her that intimate space but may be reading what happened to her in the past, he will understand her more.. maya will oblige the kiss herself soon I am sure..
