Hey L😊
I found the backstory to be pretty predictable but not unrelatable.MJ possesses the mentality of a hunter who sees women as trophies he can adorn on his shelves. When it comes to naive and impressionable ones like Manvi,he can understand their psyche and manipulate them to lower their defences. When it comes to social climbers like Diya,he knows its basic give and take. When it comes to weak minded ones like Antara,he doesn't have to put much effort. But Maya is a different case altogether. Maya Jaisingh, who rose from Manvi's ashes, who was created by MJ's own darkness and who is shielded by Rudra's unconditional love is someone he can neither understand nor outwit.
I think we all were kind of expecting this to happen. But since it is a tad bit bold for ITV, there may not be many takers for this kind of a concept. But I honestly don't mind. It is very different from the mindless drama that happens elsewhere. However, the revenge here isn't less mindless. It is very sloppy in my opinion.
I have a theory about why Manvi fell for Mrityunjay. There are certain women who are drawn to broken people. There is an inherent desire within them to "fix" such people. MJ donned the mask of a forlorn and loveless man who was shattered by his wife's so called betrayal and Manvi fell for the facade.Though they didn't show it but I am of the opinion that subconsciously Manvi saw herself as the light who would remove MJ's darkness.Little did she know that she was being manipulated by him at every step.
That is the problem with the majority of women, right. I mean they want to fix everything. Arre what for. Certain things and certain people aren't meant to be fixed. This screwed-up notion of fixing things is an issue. A person cannot be fixed if they themselves don't want to be fixed. And most importantly, go and fix your own lives na baba, work on yourself. Nahi, Devi syndrome jaata nahi hai inka.
As far as the chemistry is concerned then I didn't feel a lack of chemistry because I wasn't looking for any romantic chemistry in the first place. I was busy being apalled by MJ's mindgames and exasperated with Manvi's naivety and short sightedness. The chemistry will be seen when Maya Rudra Roy and Mrityunjay Roy's full fledged war begins because chemistry is not necessarily romantic every time.Individually both Jennifer and Ashish did a fantastic job.
Probably and very true. But Mrityunjay vs Maya will have a lot of tashanbaazi and oomph to it. Maya is no Manvi, which Mrityunjay will get to see soon enough.
I still believe that Maya's cold-blooded murder of Rishi is not justified under any circumstances though. The price of an innocent life is unimaginable. MJ will pay it and so shall Maya in the long run. The person who pursues revenge should dig two graves. However there is a part of me which wants Maya to find true happiness and peace with Rudra before facing the consequences of her actions.
All I can feel is sorry for Maya. Her mindlessness will screw over her married life with Rudra. Kabhi kabhi feel hota hai ki yaar leke aao Rishi ko waapis, aur bandi ko happy ending do. Itna to deserve karti hi hai. But Rishi's death is the biggest dent that will just ruin the marital bliss of MayRa. I just hope ki Rishi kahin zinda pada ho. Even if there is a 0.1 % chance of that happening, please make it happen.
