Finally, Maya said it. She acknowledged that she is now breathing Mrityunjay in every game that she plays. The mistress of illusion accepts the reality of the actions she took. So tonight, we saw the usual, jaded story which we all were expecting to happen. I know the flashback isn't that big a thing, its the usual. And honestly, I am not too interested in the romance, I am more interested in the destruction that triggered this vicious cycle. The cycle that made Manvi Singh into Maya Jaisingh. Well here goes my post.
Flashback 10 years ago - Honestly, I wasn't too intrigued or interested in the MritVi romance. It was plain and simple boring for me. It had no charm to keep my attention. I only watched to understand the story and write about it. I felt that Mrityunjay and Manvi look better off as friends and at the most opponents, but lovers - a big no. I did not find any chemistry between them. When Rudra and Maya are on screen, they set it on fire. But with Manvi and Mrityunjay, all I could feel was cold, like ice cold. Manvi buying into all that bullshit that Mrityunjay spun out of thin air is well, annoying yet understandable because she was too naive and vulnerable to understand that it is actually bullshit. She was unaware of how the world can screw you over. But I guess she was chosen to be destroyed for the same reason. Her destruction at the hands of someone she loved and put her faith in, the darkness in Mrityunjay Roy created the very darkness to combat him - Maya Jaisingh. Manvi Singh's death was needed for Maya Jaisingh to come alive. She has been chosen to be the nemesis to the beast that is Mrityunjay Roy. Frankly, I am more interested in the destruction than their romance. I am sorry, I wasn't impressed by MritVi.
Maya and Mrityunjay game parallel - So coming to the title of my post, we can see how Mrityunjay systematically lured, trapped and destroyed Manvi. That is exactly what Maya did with Rudra and Rishi. Mrityunjay used his charm and bossy demeanor to charm Manvi. Maya used her beauty to charm Rishi and bossiness to charm Rudra. Mrityunjay slit his wrist enough to buy Manvi's sympathy. Maya made Rishi slit his wrist enough to bleed to death. Maya is the Mrityunjay to Mrityunjay. She is mirror-imaging his moves against him, and she was right. He did not once anticipate her return, seeing that all this has been done before. But that's the point, isn't it? Mrityunjay never expected her to survive, so playing such a deadly game is beyond his imagination. Mrityunjay knows Manvi, but he doesn't know Maya is the reflection of his darkness. She has been pushed into the tunnel of his darkness, not only to survive it but also to be forged in his darkness and return as Maya Jaisingh.
Rudra and Mrityunjay love parallel - Honestly, Mrityunjay ke saamne, Rudra to bhagwaan lagta hai, bhagwaan. Rudra is the answer to Mrityunjay and Antara's karma. God hurts you where it hurts the most, and that is what has befallen them in the guise of Maya. Rudra has always been respectful of women. He has always valued his mother above all. He has always respected Maya, and also the boundaries of no-touch she drew initially. But his steadfast and ethical strength won Maya over because whenever Maya has held him or touched him, she did not feel polluted. That is why she is so comfortable with his hugs and kisses. Rudra is pure warmth and admiration. Mrityunjay is stone cold and farcical. And we know what value a woman holds in his life. His love was reeking of lust and deceit, I just felt chills watching him with Manvi. When Rudra is with Maya, it is pure love and respect rolled into it. For Rudra love is a partnership, and for Mrityunjay love is ownership. For Rudra, physical love is important, but so is understanding. For Mrityunjay, physical love is all that he understands. Mrityunjay's love was an illusion that catered to Manvi's naivety. Rudra's love is a reality that caters to Maya's darkness. Just like Shiva loved every aspect of his Shakti, so does Rudra love every aspect of his Maya. Just like Mahishasur lusted for Parvati who was the embodiment of beauty and strength, Mrityunjay lusted for Manvi's beauty and will for Maya's strength. I could go on and on. But I need to move on.
