As far as Rasim are concerned, these are the times when Iâve felt theyâve made mistakes and not been a good friend to the other. But theyâve not been intentional or malicious and imo there are understandable reasons for why they behaved that way, so for me, Rasim are very much a great bond. And I think both of them are loyal and genuinely fond of one another.
These are not irredeemable mistakes, nothing that big that needs to break their friendship.
Ok - And these are based on my own expectations of friendship of course.đ
1. In the horse task fight when Shukla told Rashami not to get in between, as a friend I would expect her to say I will do what I want, I will support my friend and if you donât want anyone getting hurt then YOU fix yourself and stop getting violent.
2. Horse task fight - that comment to Shukla that he is mature&donât fight - after he went into Asimâs face for the nth time and pushed him again, that comment is seriously WTF. To any outsider that doesnât look like sheâs Asimâs friend, it looks like sheâs playing both sides.
I personally would be furious if my friend had said that to the guy who had just been violent to me.
3. The times Rashami is silent when Arti (especially) has twice given her tippani or bitched about Asim. Ideally she should say - heâs my friend, I donât want to hear this.
Ok now, for all those instances, I can give reasons for why Rashami behaved in that way cos I know sheâs not a bad person. But regardless, they are all mistakes that show a failure of proving your friendship to someone - imo.
1. Asim not stopping Himanshi from talking about how Arhaan is upset that Rashami is cordial with Shukla.
Himanshi started bitching with her âif that was me, I wouldnât blah sh1te blahâ, and Asim shouldâve stopped that and said, Rashami is my friend, I donât want to hear this.
Heâs already told Rashami about his frustration with the way she makes excuses for Shukla, and he spoke on behalf of Arhaan so he was referring to that kind of thing when he added his tippani. But it was wrong to say all that with only Vishal & Himanshi present. Also, Rashamiâs approach towards Shukla is her business and since heâs gone and said an unnecessary sorry to Shukla, heâs the last person to be unhappy with her approach.
2. When the convo was shown on WKW, things went off on a tangent based on Himanshiâs bitchy comment. Devo wanted to rebut by saying that Rashami WAS looking out for Arhaanâs image - and so we got to know that Rashami hadnât even known about his ex marriage but that she had been pretending all this time to knowing about it. So then it became about - for Devo and Arti - what a horrible guy Arhaan was. And Arti was fuming that how can Himanshi/Vishal/Asim be defending the guy.
Err well because they were never talking about his past, they were only talking about him being upset with Rashamiâs cordial relationship with Shukla.
Asim was stuck on - Oh no my jaanu jaaneman is being bashed and actually whatâs wrong that we were discussing Arhaanâs message when Rashami wanted outside news of Arhaan herself?
But he was wrong. And he was not recognising what the issue was. The issue was, that in bringing up this Arhaan message and talking about it without Rashami present to give her replies, Himanshi was making Rashami look bad.
So Asim was wrong to get involved here and have a go at Rashami. (That line - you mustâve been asking about Arhaan because you wonât be asking about your mum/dad - complete non-issue). Asim shouldâve stayed out of it, let Himanshi/Rashami talk and said sorry for his part too.
Again, for these instances, I can give reasons for why Asim behaved in that way too, itâs not cos heâs a bad person. But regardless, they are mistakes that show a failure of proving your friendship to someone - imo. đ
Okay thatâs it.. thatâs all I can think of right now. đđ But like I said before, these mistakes arenât of the friendship-breaking sort imo. Itâs just a mix of misunderstandings and high or unknown expectations.
