Nah I don't think so.

I remember that season clearly, it was the last time I was this involved. He was a CLEAR winner (heavily favored by the channel around the end, too) plus he didn't have a strong alpha-male rivalry like Sidharth/Asim, so he ended up getting a ton of spotlight.

HE felt like a huge deal.

But, this time around, THE SHOW feels like a huge deal. Shukla and Asim (and of course, Sana, Rashmi, etc.) I feel are all more of household names because of the massive social media penetration as well.

Gautam was massive 'within' the scope of his season. But this season has a much larger scope even outside the house (gharwalas/friends playing their own BB), and I think Asim (and the others) are above where he was then because of the success of this season. Social media plays a huge role, too.

GG was smart. He knew his game and what works with audience. Instead of fighting and taking ridiculous stands he chose to entertain. Of course he milked target thing yet it was not irritating he kind off did it in a fun way which Asim lacks big time. There is no comparison, Asim has got nothing on GG. All Asim know is to poke and play victim. There I said it but y’all are not ready to have that convo 😆

Considering the amount of competition asim has in this very hit season, i would say asim is not that far

And your point is?He had a head strong female competitor Karishma Tanna. Way better and entertaining than all the rivalries we saw this season.

Gautham Gulati enjoyed more attention with more ease in that Season..and I guess KT was reason for that.

Gautam’s season was boring it was totally focused all around him rest of the contestants that season got footage by either fighting with him romancing with him or being friends with him unlike this season where all the contestants has been the center focus since day 1

The selfish tag always haunted Tanna and one of the reasons, she couldn't win the show.

Asim is getting popular with every passing day. His growth is organic and one can't deny that.
