That was the kind of exchange that happened tonight. Rudra promised some of his light to Maya and in exchange took some of her darkness. Achcha, kis kis ko episode dekhke aankhon me aansun aa gaye. 😒Kyunki mujhe to sach me aa gaye. The scene in the water took my heart. In fact, the entire episode took my heart. I was really annoyed by the Mrityunjay scenes, but actually I was tremendously satisfied. Tonight's episode belonged only to one person - Rudra Roy. Arre apne ladke ne Maya se I love you bulwa diya behnon.🥳 Matlab kudos to Rudra Roy tonight. Hail Rudra Roy👏 Anyway, tonight was about Rudra, Maya, and symbolism. So here it goes.

Rudra Roy - the emotionally intense, crazy-ass lover. I mean I have no words to describe this man. It's like I don't even know this guy. He just shed every inhibition, every barrier, every hesitation and let the mad, intense man inside him take over. Like if I did not know that he is Rudra Roy, I would have said that I am seeing a rehashed version of Maya Mehrotra in the guy. The way he held Maya, the way he expressed all his pent up feelings, the way he yelled out those three words. It said it all. Rudra is emotionally addicted and obsessively in love with Maya. He can live for her, die for her and if I did not know him better, he could kill for her also. He can fight the world for her, he can fight her for her. He can do everything. Maya is in the words of Edward Cullen, "his personal brand of heroin". The more he unravels layers of her, the more addicted he gets. But he is a character who also has his light. He wants to give his sukoon, khushi, sapne, saath to Maya - which are very positive words and aspects of light. And he wants to take away her tanhai, dard, aansun, which are indicative of darkness. It actually creates a balance. Maya is dark with some of Rudra's light in her, and Rudra is light with some of Maya's darkness in him.

Rudra Roy vs Maya Mehrotra - I am sorry, but I have to highlight this in tonight's episode. Rudra has always given off vibes of Maya Mehrotra to me, but those were subtle. Tonight was like Maya Mehrotra ka bhoot sawaar ho gaya tha Rudra pe. Let me explain. Maya saves Arjun in Mauritius and tells him " Tum meri jaan ho". Rudra also confesses his love for Maya and tells her "Tum meri jaan ho". Tomorrow while taking the seven vows, Rudra's first vow is, "Tumhare aur mere beech koi nahi aayega", and Maya's asked Arjun to give her the 1st vow as "Tumhare aur mere beech koi nahi aayega". And most importantly, the eyes. The manic gleam in his eyes was of love which is a junoon, obsession, addiction, madness. Oh man, Maya Jaisingh is in trouble.

The bracelet - This was one of the best symbolism episodes so far. In the last episode, the portrait burning away was one barrier, and tonight the bracelet was the last remembrance of Maya's painful past, her painful love, that last symbol of her past which was the last barrier between Rudra and Maya drowned in the Ganges. It not just purified Rudra of every bad karma, bad blood, it kind of un-Mrityunjayfied Rudra. Rudra became only and only Rudra. Because only Rudra can pull Maya towards himself. And that is exactly what happened. When Ganga maiyya cleansed him completely, it gave Maya an indication that see, now he is devoid of all the symbols of past that caused you pain, now you can move ahead with him.

Black beads Cleansed - Shiva is the destroyer of darkness. In the last episode, Rudra collected Maya's darkness and tonight's episode he cleansed all those dark beads, symbolizing that all that she has done in the past is now clean, he is offering her a clean slate to write a new story for herself. To choose light and love and move on from her darkness. Now darkness here indicates two things - the darkness inside her and the darkness that she stays in. Now with Rudra, she not just has to let go of some of that darkness behind, but also stay in the light with him. In front of the prying eyes of his mahaan khandaan. Rudra has managed to conquer some of the darkness of Maya, now it's left to see how much of light Maya is willing to entertain in her life.

Maya Jaisingh - I know I say this a lot, but I have to say it again. Maya ki maya dhari ki dhari reh gayi aur raaste ke patthar ne raasta mod diya. Kahaani ka rukh badal diya. Rudra always either weakens Maya's resolve or makes Maya go back on her games, which is exactly what happened tonight. Rudra's words, his love were ringing in her ears and her resolve was weakening. Rudra conquered his fear of water to follow her in the direction she took the boat. He then tried to stop and Maya pushed him into the water. When the water goes still, the first thought that comes to Maya is, "Why do I feel so defeated?". She does not feel happy. Then Rudra returns. On the pretext of helping him, she herself falls and holds his hand. Rudra asks her to let go because otherwise both will die and tells her to take her pearls and live a happy life with some happy memories of his love. If that wasn't enough to melt Maya into a puddle, all the moments she spent with Rudra and the words of her close ones, she let go of that knife and gripped on to his hand and pulled him in. What followed after that was a complete Maya Jaisingh mess. She broke down. Fear and panic seized her because she was not willing to let go of her hope, of her love, of her light, of her Rudra. And the "I love you". I just knew it. She loves him. Her love for him will never be fake. Everything she will do will be fake, but not her love for Rudra. She may fake not to be Mrityunjay's enemy. She may fake to be a wellwisher and stab the Roy khandaan in the back, similar to what they did years ago. It would be like she is infront of them and yet hidden. The pain and agony with which she accepted she loved Rudra. It takes a lot from a woman like her to accept her feelings. The only thing she will stay true to is her love and marriage to Rudra. Baaki pura Roy khandaan kuye me jaye, she gives two hoots about it.

Other highlights

Kaha Mrityunjay uncle ki chakrigiri me phansi padi ho. Move on karo bitiya, jaldi.

And who else thinks Maya Jaisingh has redefined the "pyaar aag ka dariya quote". Iss show me jitni baar Rudra paani me gaya hai, utni baar to Maya behen bhi nahi gayi.🤣 Maya Jaisingh just changed the quote to "Ye ishq nahi aasan, ek paani ka dariya hai, jahaan Maya behen ko Rudra bhaiya ko dubaana hai."😆

All in all, great, intense, delicious episode. That's from me tonight. You all share your thoughts on the episode. Tab tak me ek aur round maarke aati hu episode ka😎

Beautiful episode and it belonged to Rudra Roy his pure love. His love won it changed the course of the river. It made a dark woman stop mindless destruction. It forced a woman who has left hope of life to leave the dagger that symbolized death and hold the hand that offered life and light. In the holy water of Ganges her Krishna showed her love exists in this world in pure form. She saw the truth of that love through Rudra

Shiv absorbed the halahal/poison to save the world☺️. Rudra absorbed Mayas darkness to save her. This is also a big foreshadow for the future.

The ganges accepted Rudras immersion and returned him to Maya as her Rudra, not MJs son. It immersed the bracelet that cut the ties of Rudra with Mayas painful memories. As for the immersion, the ganges was never meant to drown Shiv. Maya should have googled Mythology before choosing Shivs dham and Hari niwas to try drown Shiv😆!

Coming to the interesting situation of Maya holding Rudras hand and a knife was parallel to Krishna holding the weapon in one hand to destroy and blessing from another hand. Maya now has a choice, whether to save or slay her enemies.

This episode is a minefield of gems from symbolic perspective. Nice post. But also Rudras selfless declaration of love and sacrifice held major foreshadow. Maybe one day he will have to sacrifice himself to save Maya, his jaan, and he won't be there to hold Maya anymore and she would be at the brink of darkness but his memory/symbol of that memory, their child, will save Maya. We shall see.

Coming to Maya, she was constantly battling her heart and ultimately Rudras sacrifice and his slipping hand reminded Maya what love truly feels like. The "I love you Rudra" just melted me.

Omg what an insanely beautiful episode was that.. dialogues to acting to the aerial shots everything.. 🤗

The show started with Maya drowning rishi and then saving him and he decided that he will marry her and then bleeding Rudra in fencing. and their equation ended with Maya bleeding rishi to death and saving Rudra from water and Rudra marrying maya now..

The whole proposal scene got me tears in my eyes and heavy heart seriously.. shivin was spot on in his voice modulation and expressions in the scene.. it was so serene to watch him say those heavy dialogues without even sounding OTT.. the first words were how much she meant to him and how every single thing in our body which we need to live had her influence on him.. first his rooh, his heart beat and his breathe.. she was his life.. and then was the giving of his sukoon happiness and he himself.. love is about selfless giving only... Mayas previous love images always showed the shower of physical gifts she got from MJ or whoever it was.. but love is about emotional and mental giving and not gifts which Rudra did today..

The whole I love u Maya made my heart stop if not Mayas .. this guy was pure genius in that scene ..

The river scene again.. he was scared of water.. he still jumped into her boat.. she pushed him into the water.. remember the scene with rishi where he put fire around her..something that he was scared off.. he put it off but never crossed that to her.. parallel to that Rudra went ahead right into what he is scared off.. he put her life first over his.. like Maya said when ur life is in danger , it will show what u save..ur humanity or urself.. maya holding that knife behind was useless because he was ready to die anyways.. the hate that was hiding and attacking had to fall off to save the love..grasp it with both hands..

Today not just the stone was Rudra, but the river too.. her black beads washed off by ganga was Mayas revenge and her dark self.. rudras bracelet fell off.. the love and pain which she associated with that is gone too..

And finally Mayas confession.. she will wake him up tomo and we will finally have an emotional confrontation and marriage..

Few things..when rudra was unconscious I felt shivin was smiling 🤣.. precap I hope Maya tells him something of her past.. I dont know if she will mention about MJ.. but he ought to atleast know what happened with her irrespective of who did.. I feel Maya owes that much to him..

I agree. Rudra's love for Maya won over Maya's hate. Now Maya will use her hate only on the ones who deserve her "righteous fury", and I hope Ganga maiya guides her on that path. I know it is tough for Maya to forsake the revenge aspect of her life. But she welcomed Rudra's love and light into her life. So I hope she understands living in the Roy mansion, what Mrityunjay does with his family. She has no inkling of the master of manipulation Mrityunjay Roy. How he inflicts torture on Antara, how he is having a frolicking affair with Diya. All these dark deeds which haven't seen the light of the day, need to be exposed. Utilize her fury by utilizing their weaknesses against them and leave them to rot in misery. That is the revenge she should take. Death is easy, hard is living. And even harder is a life which is worse than death. And Mrityunjay should experience the same that he put Maya through.

Exactly, Maya should be like Jhanvi was in Ek Bhram..Sarvagunn Sampann. She should create the bhram of being someone else before the family and be someone else in reality. The Roys have no clue how Maya has transitioned into Maya Jaisingh. Mrityunjay especially has no idea what Maya has become. He is expecting the same old Maya. But Maya should be like her name - keeping everyone else under an illusion and lure them in a false sense of security. The only thing Maya will be truthful to is her love for Rudra and marriage with Rudra.

I agree. Its a mutual exchange of dark and light and achieve a balance between Rudra and Maya. Maya will only be her honest self with Rudra, but the rest of the Roys can go for a toss.

Exactly. Rudra will always be absorbing her darkness only for her to turn around and hold her Rudra from letting that darkness kill him. She may be scared of losing him, but Maya will never jeopardize his life, which is unlike Mrityunjay. Mrityunjay will put his own people at risk he claims to love. For Mrityunjay, love is about ownership and domination. Maya, on the other hand, will safeguard Rudra from the horrors Mrityunjay is capable of doing. For Maya, love is partnership and devotion. Her priority maybe her revenge, but now she will never put Rudra in the situation.

The ganges accepted Rudras immersion and returned him to Maya as her Rudra, not MJs son. It immersed the bracelet that cut the ties of Rudra with Mayas painful memories. Ganga maiyya did a dual job. It cleansed Rudra of Mrityunjay and cleansed Maya of Mrityunjay's memories which still freeze her and give her panic seizures. I guess Google should google Maya about her knowledge of mythology. She twists and turns mythology as per her fancy.

Coming to the interesting situation of Maya holding Rudras hand and a knife was parallel to Krishna holding the weapon in one hand to destroy and blessing from another hand. Maya now has a choice, whether to save or slay her enemies.

Maya does not want to save her enemies. She wants to slay them. But now she has to choose her methods. Slay them literally, or slay them metaphorically. Manipulating their weaknesses against them. Playing the mayajaal with them etc, etc.

This episode is a minefield of gems from a symbolic perspective. Nice post. But also Rudras selfless declaration of love and sacrifice held major foreshadow. True.

Same here.
