Tanhaji grossed 225 crores.

Should Deepika have averted the clash?

Ajay requested her to postpone her movie.

Couldn't Ajay postpone the release. So arrogant man! Deepika gave her best of course the clash and boycott affected the movie orelse 9 crore + opening was surely the least that would have happened!

Dont think so....Clash or no clash, Jnu visit or no visit- if the movie is entertaining, people will some how watch it!

Even Panga failed because somewhere it ended up being slow & boring in terms of its narrative despite being essentially a sports movie...

As for Chapaak, i think ulta the clash has given the movie a better visibility....It showed up in the showtimes even to those who weren’t exactly seeking to see it...And sometimes some people even end up watching it just because they didn’t get the other show tickets....

Even with clashes, movies have done well before. I mean, both Shivaay and ADHM did pretty well at the box office. Son of Sardaar vs JTHJ and both did pretty well. Dilwale vs. Bajirao Mastani - despite Dilwale's negative WOM, it still raked in the mullah. Bahubali vs Bajrangi Bhaijaan - we all know what happened here.

So the clash isn't the reason for the movie flopping.

You guys made it as if mughal e azam got flopped.

Can't understand this obsession of the forum with one single medium budgeted movie.

Chapaak was a low budget movie..less money at stake.. postponing Tanhaji would've affected the budget as it was made on a pretty large scale with VFX and all..plus a 3D movie

JNU visit , celebs needs to understand by example of aamir, when he said about feeling unsecured lol, after that his career and ads indeed became insecure. It’s middle class who break and make their career not media and India forums. During padmavat majority were not offended . So it lost only some but JNU is entirely a different ball game .
