I think you are bang on the money! Vikas, it appears has come with the channel's agenda. It's clear from the way is behaving and it appeared as if he was ready with the plan to cancel the task if things don't go by his (channel's script) strategy. This could have been the reason that he distanced Sid from decision making . It is an interesting perspective!

Sid was so bang on in decoding Himanshi the day all the connections entered. He said based on the way she’s behaving and the things she’s telling people, she definitely got a lot of backlash once she was evicted. And she herself admitted to it in last night’s epi LOL. Sid and Sana are both so good at seeing right through people, very good judge of characters they are
