Deepika isn't a Kathak dancer 😆 Kathak is the toughest dance form in India as far as I know. No one can dance fluid Kathak without extensive training. Mohe Rang Do Laal isn't kathak, it's kathak made easy for Deepika. But to be fair to her, I read somewhere that she didn't get much time to prep for Mohe Rang Do Laal. Most probably practiced only a week & then shot in 2-3 days because they were running on tight schedule. Itne me itna hi milega😆

I don't know whether it's true, but I remembering reading here that Alia learned Kathak from Pandit Birju Maharaj for almost a year for Ghar More Pardesiya & she was praised for her hardwork. And we have seen the outcome😆

This person here is just trying to get Deepika bashed by comparing her with Madhuri. Even a blind will agree that Deepika is nowhere near Madhuri in dance prowess.😆

Dekh ke pata chalta hai with her awkward movements. Usko sirf hand movements karne ko bola still she was so stiff 🤣🤣

Alia was also stiff when she swirls but way better than deepika because it had footwork and was fast paced. Alia surprisingly too couldn't give face expressions.

It's very difficult to learn. I had to work really hard to perfect my facial expressions coz it isn't easy so I'll give Alia benefit of doubt here.

I too agree this person seems to bait people to bash DP. But being a kathak dancer, I couldn't resist after seeing so many flaws with this person's post. 😆

It's actually sad where bollywood is going. Previously, in Madhubala - Vyjayanthimala era, being a good dancer was a must criteria to be a heroine. Later on, in Madhuri - Aishwarya era, it was reduced to being a bonus point. And now no one even cares. You can become a heroine by other means even if you have 2 left feet. What if they have to do a classical dance scene? Koi na... shooting karne se pehle 1 week practice kar lenge. Baki toh camera angle & editing se manage ho hi jayega.😆

It's not just classical dance. The too cool be be proud of Indian heritage attitude is doing all this.

Our citizens are shamed for respecting our cultures or anything related to it. The left have done this.

Hence people have stopped giving any attention to our classical arts.

Hell even they've literally stopped taking in playback signers. Almost all songs are remakes now. Talented playback singers like shreya, Sonu ,sunidhi are getting so less work. It's very concerning.

Even Netflix is making those hinduphobic shows. These people are really trying to destroy our heritage. 🤢

Ermm.... I wouldn't go as far as that.

But yeah we don't nurture our own tradition now. We are too busy trying to copy western cultures & if someone from us succeeds in getting a 2 minute fame in West, we hail them like the best thing ever happened to this country.

As for songs in bollywood these days.... I don't even think most of them can be called a song. They are mostly too tuneless to be song & too rhythmic to be just narratives Most of the movies get just 1 proper, audible song in the album, rest all those weird khichdis. Jab songs hi itne kam bante hai toh singers ko kaam kaise milega. Except SLB's movies though. I might be the rare species here, but I think SLB is a really underrated music director. His movies' music are easily the best ones right now. I really love Guzarish, Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani & Padmavat's music.
