Women should also not slap men then. It has to work both ways

Domestic violence is much more grim issue and shouldn't be compared to "just a slap". Yes it's just a slap, aur wo nahi maar sakta but taking divorce because of that? I think we are taking feminism to a whole new level now where women are expecting to be treated like princesses. Doesn't matter if it was in the heat of the moment or the guy was angry. You can't lay hand on a female.

I'm also seeing Kabir Singh being used for promotion this film. In Kabir Singh, Preity slapped Kabir almost 5-6 times but I don't see any hue and cry for that.

So not raising a hand on a woman = treating her like a princess? Wow! You have some low standards.

I don't know about the trailer or the movie, but your question is not about that, is it? The answer is no. It is never okay to slap anyone, heat of the moment or not.

If the woman behind him was a 100 kg man, would the heat of the moment have happened? I highly doubt it. The husband hit because it was someone who could not possibly physically retaliate.

ETA. You're right that feminism is going to a new level. Women arw expecting to be treated as human beings. What a concept!

I wonder if the same guy can hit his parents too in heat of the moment or maybe his Boss. Will he be forgiven, face no consequences and get back to his normal happy life after that?

Something about the trailer felt off ... Wasn't able to connect with tapsee's character.

I liked the trailer and the concept.

It's important to have boundaries when it comes to relationships. A man raising his hand on a woman, no matter how angry or in the heat of the moment, is a strict no-no.

The trailer clearly defines that even one slap can breach the sanctity of a relationship and change things forever. I think that's what's commendable.

message maybe good, but cinematically itna maaza nahi aya. Kabir Singh, didn't had any message, but was a great trailer.

(yes I am going to compare it now everytime with Kabir Singh, because befitting reply's PR is full on cashing on Kabir Singh, to lure the Kabir Singh critics, but she should know that the Kabir Singh critics are the freeloaders who don't pay for tickets.

The trailer sucks.

It is NOT ok to slap someone but... they were in love, he was apologetic, it wasn't out of habit, was just a mistake that he regret.

There's a Pakistani drama – Dilagi – on the same concept... husband slaps wife and she walks away but then they reconcile and it all makes sense.

That is what is fundamentally wrong. Whether you are in love or not, that is immaterial.

Hitting someone is wrong.

No circumstances justify that.

I can't believe people are not understanding this simple concept.

Looks like its based on a Pakistani drama called ‘Kankar’ which has somewhat of a similar storyline....Its going to be awesome if it true!
