Ananya was too caught up in her fantasies to ever really SEE rudra. I really cannot understand or empathize with her. the proposal really messed with her head because she lost all rationality after that. Rudra looked unhappy, he always ran to maya especially after rishi's death. somewhere deep down, Ananya knew all this which is why she became so defensive when maya showed her the mirror.

Writers did her no favours by giving her dialogues like "rudra mujhse pyar karta, per uska pyar thoda sa alag hain." what kind of pyar, friendship wala? because rudra never claimed to love her and neither has he told her that. only that he will treat her well, which is different from pyar. the signs were in front of her but she ignored it because of her bachpan ka sapna.

Forget about love, she could not even be good friend. her only concern was her dream leading up to the wedding, to the point even rudra distanced herself from her.
