There is actally a complete turn of events since he proposed to Anu. When he proposed to her, he said she was his comfort spot where he can bring all his problems and share with her. He was proposing his best friend, not the girl who was hoping to marry him since childhood. Then Rishi died, and he refused to share any deeper feelings with her. Why? Did he see through her truth? Or because of Rishi's last words to him: To hell with your shaadi, idk.. But since then Maya has become his comfort spot where he can bring his heavy heart and lighten it, and Anu, just a compulsory promise/commitment he made.

Seriously! Since the time she has been proposed by Rudra.. She is not at all acting as a friend.. even after their conversation during that proposal that Rudra will always be her friend and she will wait for Rudra's love! Where is that promise gone?🤔 With the wind i guess
