The hilarity runs deep...
During Padmavat time --- Both movie and DP gained from Karni Sena's protest, movie got free publicity --- Nope it was out and out Deepika's beauty (yeah yeah, unibrow is beautiful), her acting (being a cardboard is equivalent to stellar acting) and her stardom (which has once again proved to be non-existent)
During Chhapak : She chose a bold subject, but the movie did not do well because DP was punished for her political opinions...
Well, Mata should have let bold subject talk the talk and not mix it with separatist agenda. At least that way the movie would have been judged in its own merit and garnered more empathy for acid attack survivors.
In her desperation to make everything about herself, even when a subject was something as sensitive as acid attack, she ended up defeating the purpose of the whole movie, and that is more sad than the movie not doing well...
