Recently i read a poem, and it resonated with what shahnaz is going through (though am not a fan), its easy to see that she has been emotionally manipulated by the sidnaz chant...

The poem is by Veronica Shoffstall

After a while

you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul

and you learn love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't always mean security.

And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't always promises

and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and and your eyes ahead with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child.

And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.

After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much

So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers

And you learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong and you really do have worth and you learn and you learn

with every good-bye you learn.

Beautiful and very apt..

But it’s easy for us to analyse, she’s going through whatever she’s going through on National TV. Her self-esteem must’ve taken a beating being rejected by the person she was with - physically and emotionally for 3 and a half months, especially when he ends it single handedly without even giving a valid reason or explanation and making hurtful personal comments instead.

It’s good for her in the long run, but at present it’s extremely hard on a girl where she’s being abandoned, judged and given tags on a public platform.

I hope that she doesnt get scarred because of this.

But a public and humiliating heartbreak can be devastating

Thats a lovely poem. Everyone who has a poor sense of boundaries should read this. I just read it out to a friend and she's nodding. Thanks for sharing Mamta

Arti (and later Sana ) always reminds me of that ghazal

Khudko bhi humne mita daala magar

Faasle jo darmiaan the reh gaaye

Shayad unka aakhri ho yeh sitam

Har sitam yeh sochkar hum seh gaye

I'm finally being able to get past Shehnaaz's sidnaaz wala desperation seeing how messed up her life has been outside the house. I think his huge body makes her feel safe or something. That and the need to stay in the game.

Beautiful, TFS and as rightly stated by Hasini it's for all those who put others ahead of themselves and sacrifice their self respect and honour , in the name( game - sorry) of love.
