Just sharing my post from the AT:😊

Disclaimer: I understand that slaps in ITV are just for dramatic intensity purposes, to try and increase TRP Firstly I also agree that slapping Abir was not ideal and unnecessary drama, but after some time to contemplate and understand as a neutral viewpoint...here's my thoughts

---

Don't mind me speaking my mind here....

to be honest, I would have preferred to have Nannu's slap edited (cut out) rather than BP. Abir getting punished by BP makes way more sense than Nishant.

*runs before I get mobbed*smiley17

just hear me out...smiley14

Although BP slapping Abir would defs be out of character...but still understandable because BP's mind is already going nuts with Meenu's dhamki and this shaadi feversmiley17

jks apart, A slap from an elder like BP doesn't always equate to hatred. Like the great Amitabh bachan explains in K3G "badon ka gussa khabhi khabhi Badon ka pyar hai"smiley27 BP love(d) Abir like his son and so his gussa is totally justified. Nishant on the other hand, doesn't have that right to slap Abir. Nishant is not qualified for that kind of behavioursmiley24

- BP and Abir have a much more longer and deeper bond than Abir- Nishant.

- BP and Abir always respected and admired one another so deeply that they didn't have to directly talk or express their fatherly-son love. Their actions spoke for themselves. That's why BP supported Abir whole-heartedly when Abir spoke truthfully from his heart, when expressing his love and respect for Mishti (that unforgettable episode BP-ABIR convo at mah housesmiley42). BP entrusted Mishti's future life into Abir's hand, believing that Abir will stick to his words (like all fathers do).

-So when Abir suddenly broke the mishbir rishta. BP's trust, bond and respect for Abir took a big hit. Yes, ofcourse BP knows that Abir as a genuine person would never do such a thing, but BP's primary priority is his beti, Mishti. Which is why, he felt it was more important to deal with Mishti's heartbreak first, by sending her away to London. I guess because the rishta broke solely on the basis of Abir's words, BP decided that it was Abir's responsbility to speak up for explanation, rather than BP going to ask what went wrong.

-After the leap, BP has seen Abir again breaking Mishti's heart in the market. So in BP's eyes, Abir has not regretted the break-up. And with now Abir suddenly showing up to every marriage function, and trying to mend the issues, irritates BP (rightly so) because Abir was absent for the last 3 months. He didn't bother meeting or seeing the mah family after the break-up.

But now he's back trying to gain chances to fight back when Mishti is (getting) engaged, and Abir is not being straightforward about why he's back, what he's fighting for and not directly apologising to BP. So in BP's eyes, Abir is unnecessarily causing problems and issues (BP doesn't know that Abir still loves Mishti, that he unwillingly broke the rishta, and that Abir is regretful).

-BP is not wrong in his protectiveness and care for Mishti to not be hurt by Abir again and again. But like ALL parents, even BP makes mistakes in the name of looking out for their children. And that's what is happening here. BP is blinded by his protectiveness for Mishti and anger/disappointment on Abir...that BP has stopped giving chances to allow Abir to talk. And yes, he is worried about Meenu's dhamki because Abir has failed to show BP that he will confront and deal with his mother, in regards to Mishti's future. The biggest mistake BP is doing..is rushing for this nishmish marriage. As a father, this is the worst decision he's made, to rush and practically force Mishti to agree for this rishta, and turning a blind eye to Mishti's struggles. He can see Mishti is in deep pain and distress, but doesn't address it directly. BP believes that pushing Mishti away from Abir and into a marriage, will help her move on forever. That's his mistake.

-So all I'm trying to say is BP was more appropriate to slap Abir, than Nishant. Given BP and Abir past and current relationship status, Nishant does't fit into that category to deserve raising his hand against Abirsmiley24 So I wished the makers edited Nishant's slap and maybe kept BP's slap instead. Besides, Nannu already had a go at Abir yesterday with the push/shove - that was enough. Nishant's slap today was unnecessary.

That's all. Hopefully I made some sense. Thanks for reading (if you got this farsmiley36).

Don't hate me y'all. I don't support BP and his decision to force Mishti into the marriage. But I'm just trying to explain why BP is behaving like so and giving my opinion on the slap dramasmiley14

What do you guys think? Do share your opinions too👍🏼

PLUS:

As our actors on the show explained in their IV of the spoiler segments..

With Abir's uncalled for behaviour (gate-crashing shaadi events) and not being clear with what he wants , what he's doing...

it is only fair that a family can only put up with constant chaos to an extent. If Abir isn't going to upfront and straightforward about his mistakes and why he's back, how are the mah family (especially BP) supposed to know or understand.

I get that Abir doesn't like making excuses and putting blame on others for his blunder of breaking the rishta. But ultimately that is the fact. The fact is that he was blackmailed and threatened by his own monster mother. THIS truth needs to come out for mah family to understand the gravity of the situation. Abir coming back again and again just to show his love and prove Mishti's love for him, is NOT going to be enough.😳

Which is why Abir needed this reality check (despite how gut-wrenching and heart-breaking it is), he is truly trying hard to mend his mistakes and gain forgiveness, but sadly his approach and method isn't beneficial🤔

copy pasting here from AT for better n easy discussion 😆

wow Nandu amazing post dear.. you have put out bp abir relationship and emotions so well.. smiley20 totally agreed.. but this is just my view on why bp didnt slap abir or why abir nish was right just my view..

actually both bp and abir are little similar they are not extremely impulsive but abir was a little violent at start but he gave up after the jail incident when mish got angry on him... but the basic thing is BP is not an impulsive type to raise hands, even when kunal go extreme or meenu do things he never raised his voice much too.. and also for a fact he knew about abir what all he did for the family and mishti and also abirs basic character trait, he knew abir is a good man but as a father seeing mishti broken is not letting him trust again on abir... he is angry with abir, disappointed, he is scared bcoz of meenu but then if you see abir didnt do anything to hurt mishti, even on break up day he was calm and let mishti handle n at one point he stepped in today too same happened.... after watching second time i see this more of bp letting mishti handle it,... he was observing mishti and also abir for long... if you see when both boys punched each other he was not even in the picture he was just observing everything... he was calm n at one point he let mishti in and made her choose.. their basic relationship wont change ever like bm even he loves abir but his own fear n anger is not letting him give in even after seeing abir trying hard and apologizing.. and the hidden truth is just adding up.. i feel even if he is seeing everything he is not ready to accept the truth bcoz of obvious reasons... so bp slapping abir would've been out of place/character and not needed..

with nishant he is insecure, his possessiveness is making him react like this.. its a way for cvs to bring out nishant character shade.. he got instigated first when abir talked about his haq on mishti then punched after abir said about mishti's love for him and also pushed mishti after seeing the "a".. its to highlight his character trait... if you see abir he punched nish when he pushed mishti, its not about himself but for mishti, he accepted his mistake and also pointed nish mistake intentionally or not but wrong is wrong... this is to show the difference between them... sorry if i offend anyone but i felt it was to show the difference between the boys they showed this scene... not putting abir above and nannu below but this is just my opinion.. the slapping / pushing is wrong but the difference lies in the reason... sorry if i offended feel free to share your views n i would love to read different opinions...smiley9

bp dont approve of both abir or nish doing it.. but if you see this actually gave an insight to bp for the way both boys react at situation and also i think he got to know about the market incident too kuhu cleared that it was unintentional...

i'm no way defending bp... i dont approve of him asking mish to choose, giving entire responsibility of nish to her or pressurizing her like this and many thing but then in anger everyone do mistake and he is doing it and family also... as of now mah house is not at all good for mishti, she needs to get away from there... and they need some jhatka or big confrontation to know how all this has affected the girl.. he will regret and will be hurt just like kuku shaadi time...

equally high takkar post here Diya!👏🤗

Beautifully worded 👏

I totally understand your opinion and what you're trying to say. I never really thought of it this way, so this does make more sense, for not showing BP's slap.

@Bold: very nice point yaar👍🏼 Nishant's push and then his slap was necessary to show the difference between his approach to handle situations compared to the usually calm and composed and not impulsive Abir. Like you said, Abir only reacts rashly when it comes to Mishti. Ofcourse like all people in love, the one that you love is both your biggest strength and biggest weakness. Same here for mishbir. Mishti gives Abir all the strength to face his problems, but also anything incorrect and injustice that happens to Mishti, Abir has trouble controlling his emotions (he hardly becomes violent, and even when he does, like his slapback to Nish today was just the heat of the moment. Nothing more). The comparision to Abir's push to Mish in the market is probably the main reason why the writers included this slap fest here, like you said it helps BP and BM who are onlooking and observing the tamasha.

Thankyou for pointing out, how BP always does observe and wait to see what happens before making his ultimate verdict/decision👍🏼. That is a very composed attitude, he doesn't act impulsively and react emotionally in the heat of the moment. So it makes sense that BP wouldn't slap Abir. Hoping that BP or at least BM has gathered enough info by observing both Mishti and Abir's emotions, to understand their struggles and end up calling off the nishmish wedding🤗

Yes, definitely Mishti needs sometime away from everything and everyone. She needs space to regain and rebuild strength and confidence in herself. She needs to believe in herself again with her self-respect. As much as we all want her to do this alone, she honestly is soo broken, lost and lifeless atm after everything so far, that only Abir can bring her out of the real darkness she is in now. The darkness Nannu helped her get out of during London, is a different dark phase. Right now Mishti is probably in the darkest black hole, basically in depression. The only person who has the ability to instill the same brave, courageous Mishti traits, is Abir. Only his pyar and his company, will help Mishti to build herself from scratch. Doesn't mean mishbir have to get married. But just the idea of them getting back together, being in love together will boost each other's lost strength and bring back'jeene ki wajah".

That's Just my opinion. Feel free to add on😃
