Don't mind me speaking my mind here....

to be honest, I would have preferred to have Nannu's slap edited rather than BP. Abir getting punished by BP makes way more sense than Nishant.

*runs before I get mobbed*smiley17

just hear me out...smiley14

Although BP slapping Abir would defs be out of character...but still understandable because BP's mind is already going nuts with Meenu's dhamki and this shaadi feversmiley17 jks apart, A slap from an elder like BP doesn't always equate to hatred. Like the great Amitabh bachan explains in K3G "badon ka gussa khabhi khabhi Badon ka pyar hai"smiley27 BP love(d) Abir like his son and so his gussa is totally justified. Nishant on the other hand, doesn't have that right to slap Abir. Nishant is not qualified for that kind of behavioursmiley24

- BP and Abir have a much more longer and deeper bond than Abir- Nishant.

- BP and Abir always respected and admired one another so deeply that they didn't have to directly talk or express their fatherly-son love. Their actions spoke for themselves. That's why BP supported Abir whole-heartedly when Abir spoke truthfully from his heart, when expressing his love and respect for Mishti (that unforgettable episode BP-ABIR convo at mah housesmiley42). BP entrusted Mishti's future life into Abir's hand, believing that Abir will stick to his words (like all fathers do).

-So when Abir suddenly broke the mishbir rishta. BP's trust, bond and respect for Abir took a big hit. Yes, ofcourse BP knows that Abir as a genuine person would never do such a thing, but BP's primary priority is his beti, Mishti. Which is why, he felt it was more important to deal with Mishti's heartbreak first, by sending her away to London. I guess because the rishta broke solely on the basis of Abir's words, BP decided that it was Abir's responsbility to speak up for explanation, rather than BP going to ask what went wrong.

-After the leap, BP has seen Abir again breaking Mishti's heart in the market. So in BP's eyes, Abir has not regretted the break-up. And with now Abir suddenly showing up to every marriage function, and trying to mend the issues, irritates BP (rightly so) because Abir was absent for the last 3 months. He didn't bother meeting or seeing the mah family after the break-up.

But now he's back trying to gain chances to fight back when Mishti is (getting) engaged, and Abir is not being straightforward about why he's back, what he's fighting for and not directly apologising to BP. So in BP's eyes, Abir is unnecessarily causing problems and issues (BP doesn't know that Abir still loves Mishti, that he unwillingly broke the rishta, and that Abir is regretful).

-BP is not wrong in his protectiveness and care for Mishti to not be hurt by Abir again and again. But like ALL parents, even BP makes mistakes in the name of looking out for their children. And that's what is happening here. BP is blinded by his protectiveness for Mishti and anger/disappointment on Abir...that BP has stopped giving chances to allow Abir to talk. And yes, he is worried about Meenu's dhamki because Abir has failed to show BP that he will confront and deal with his mother, in regards to Mishti's future. The biggest mistake BP is doing..is rushing for this nishmish marriage. As a father, this is the worst decision he's made, to rush and practically force Mishti to agree for this rishta, and turning a blind eye to Mishti's struggles. He can see Mishti is in deep pain and distress, but doesn't address it directly. BP believes that pushing Mishti away from Abir and into a marriage, will help her move on forever. That's his mistake.

-So all I'm trying to say is BP was more appropriate to slap Abir, than Nishant. Given BP and Abir past and current relationship status, Nishant does't fit into that category to deserve raising his hand against Abirsmiley24 So I wished the makers edited Nishant's slap and maybe kept BP's slap instead. Besides, Nannu already had a go at Abir yesterday with the push/shove - that was enough. Nishant's slap today was unnecessary.

That's all. Hopefully I made some sense. Thanks for reading (if you got this farsmiley36).

Don't hate me y'all. I don't support BP and his decision to force Mishti into the marriage. But I'm just trying to explain why BP is behaving like so and giving my opinion on the slap dramasmiley14

What do you guys think?

To be honest I think the whole slap fest was to put Mishti on spot so she could choose her groom lol

But honestly that could have been done without this slaps and pushing and all.

But what you are saying also make sense that as an elderly figure BP could have slapped Abir instead of Nish. Also Nish was behaving like someone took his favorite chocolate bar lol. And he didn’t even say anything to Mishti. How she felt about whole incident. Nish has really let me down.

You have put the point soooooo amazingly well Nandu🤗🤗

Somewhere even I would have preferred seeing bade Papa Slapping Abhir.. He's got more right
Where as nish has got no right or say at all

He was hoping Abhir comes and creates a drama n Mish chooses him over Abhir

I mean is this even love that nish feels? Coz he's taking this just like a competition.....I mean really

But unfortunately for him, he did not realise that Mishti has chosen Abhir over him.... She took Abhirs name...... Likes Abhir said her anger, frustration n love is only for Abhir....n it was so

Well you've beautifully put forth why bade Papas slap had to be shown..👏😃

Whoever did the slap whether it's bp or Nishant it doesn't matter much...u r ryt in ur stance, but in my opinion Abir don't even deserve a slap from either bp nor Nish...whatever mah family is collectively doing now is completely wrong and we can't justify that by telling it as a father's protectiveness of his child..sorry but I strongly disagree with ur views...🤗🤗

ofcourse I agree, slaps in ITV shows are always for extra drama and cause more problems in storyline.

So in this case, it had to be some sort of important juncture in the track's plotline where Mishti is forced to make a spotlight decision about her future life.

Yea, I just felt if the makers/cv's decided to edit one of the slaps. Why did the cut out BP's slap? They should have kept his and edited Nishant's slap. Nishant already laid his hands on Abir in yesterday's epi with that push/shove. That was all required from him. Slap was unnecessary imo🤔

Glad I made sense👍🏼

🤗🤗 thanks yaar.

Glad I made some sense. I know overall the slap was unnecessary, but just for the sake of the storyline and drama, IF the slap had to be kept I would have preferred BP's slap rather than Nishant's

Yea idk, Nishant's character is very confusing and on the fence. He sees Mishti is hurt and upset, but keeps instigating Abir to show up and create more problems. I can't tell anymore whether he is doing this provoke Mishti to scream out her heart for Abir infront of Mah family, or he's just being an annoying obstacle in Abir's fight, making it a competition😵

I just can't say anymore. The writers are flipping back and forth. So it's best to let the track run until the shaadi day and see how they handle it👍🏼

Thankyou again for reading my post and sharing your views too😊

Totally agree...

See bade Papa or nannu slapping Abhir was not at all required...

But for the sake of drama of that had to be done that even I would have preferred bade Papa slapping

Nannu nudged Abhir..... That should have been it......

Somewhere what Abhir did to mishti n maha family did require to be reprimanded but not by nannu.. He has right to fight for Mishti coz he's her friends.. But had no right to take her life decision or treat her like a competition

Mishtis voice had to be of imp here.. Neither bade Papa more nannu...... In their own way they hurt Mishti

Bade Papa.. Putting all the burden on Mishti knowing what she's going through

Nannu treating her like a competition😡

How can he be the decision maker for Mishti when he's not even seen what MishBir love actually was

Today the way jas said I felt she made more sense than anyone apart from Kunal n nanuu she did tell nish what Mishti did for her love....I wish she could have told what Abhir did

Anyway it's just the matter of time.... Mishti decides enough is enough n runs away from all mad people for a while😆

I totally understand yaar. I don't deny your opinion at all🤗 Maybe I wasn't properly clear and should have made a disclaimer:

@bold: I too believe any slap no matter from who, was totally unnecessary. Abir doesn't deserve it.

I only made this post and shared my view on this because the editors decided to cut out a slap from what we saw in the spoiler segments. THe fact that the makers/editors decided to cut out a slap, I just thought rather than editing out BP's slap, it would have been more appropriate to cut out Nishant's slap instead.

BP's character has already taken a twist and bruised badly ever since he decided to rush for nishmish shaadi. Ever since he decided to push and force Mishti into this marriage, without giving her time to express her feelings and opinions...BP and mah family have already taken the wrong route. They definitely have made a huge blunder.

But I beilieve the writers have purposely made this twist in BP's character, just to try and bring home the message that in the end jhatpat shaadi no matter under what circumstance...is ALWAYS wrong. I'm hoping the writers do end up closing this track properly with Abir or even Mishti herself breaking the nishmish rishta because jhatpat forced shaadi is wrong. Maybe even Kuhu will help support, saying one-sided love in marriage never works out (if the divorce drama comes out).

xx Appreciate your views👍🏼
