Dumb is an understatement to describe the cv’s. They just throw around large numbers like “10 years of planning” and big statements like bachpan ka pyar but have nothing to show for it. Rudra and ananya’s friendship is more like “college wala dosti” not childhood friends.

I totally agree. There is no depth in their friendship. And they are bachpan ke dost. How?

As I have said before, I had a problem with ananya ever since she started vehemently defending MJ. Rudra is her best friend, right? so why take MJ’s side when she is not aware of the full story. Seeing that kind of animosity from rudra should tell her something serious went down all those years ago. But this madam blindly supports MJ and easily plays into his hand. Every single time she defends him. Ananya reminds me of the agyakari serial bahu who wants to hold the family together, but she is not even aware of the facts.

In a situation where animosity is involved, Ananya should have chosen to stay neutral. She should have tried to build enough confidence in Rudra, to share his reasons. But she chose to side with Mrityunjay. When Rudra got cheesed off, usne suna diya tha. Now a similar situation we have with Maya.

Not sure what kind of best friends Ananya and Rudra are,because he does not share anything with her. Men who are so closed off hardly opens up to others, and rudra especially because he and ananya are on different wavelengths.As someone said they are “good time buddies,” not the type of friends who are deeply bonded. I wouldn’t say this is ananya’s fault, Rudra simply does not feel that kind of connection with her. As namu says friendship is only friendship until one of them falls in love? Ananya can no longer be rudra’s friend because she wants to be lover, especially now they are to be married. Only thing is that Rudra does not even see her as a close confidante. Their married life will onlybe filled with distance because ananya tries to babysit rudra or control.

Ananya’s doubts regarding maya are justified but she is largely motivated by jealousy. Rudra HATES mj with passion, yet she runs to him. She is not rudra’ friend, she is maya’s enemy. Right now, that overpowers their friendship.

Exactly. Aur agar woh na sune, to baap ke paas chale jao. Woh apne tariko se bete ko manwa lega. Shaadi ke baad bhi yahi hoga, taki Rudra agar chahe to bhi iss rishte me phansa rahe.

Mayra is the only good thing about this show and CV’s still screwed that over. They just make me melt despite everything. Clearly Maya is in whole lot of trouble because;A) She actually feels something for rudra, which will only snowball out of control and B) Rudra is not rishi who will just walks to his death. At the end of it all, will maya even want to kill rudra?

I loved what I saw in rudra today, he is slowly unraveling for maya and she is not too far behind. One can easily see how lonely is he, surrounded by people yet not one person who understands him. Like when he said “maya ko sirf meri fikr hain.” How good it must feel to have someone who cares for you,but since rudra is possessive, it thrills him that maya cares for ONLY him. If he could understand and accept his feelings, he would create another world where only him and maya exists.

It sounds so much like Maya Mehrotra. Are CVs trying to recreate a Maya Mehrotra through Rudra Roy?

Maya is clearly the bad guy here but they are just so alike. She gets him on a different level, yes, she uses it to her advantage but that understanding is not fake. What she is beginning to feel for rudra unsettles her but just wait until she falls deeper when rudra truly comes for her.

Maybe she was, but not in a serious way. That time also with Mrityunjay, she did not pay heed to his words too much. With Rajiv, I agree she did her research. But now what she is doing, is acting out because of how insecure she feels about Rudra. Why even put yourself in such a situation where your respect only goes down. One should never ever pursue a relationship as long as the opposite person does not feel that way with you. But she still did. Why?

She wants to save Rudra. Good. But first sort out your own internal conflicts. First try to be his friend, genuinely and then help him, without expecting that because I am helping you, you will return to me. That would be even worse.

@kankabhor. Personally, I would never ever interfere in a relationship between father and son. Ananya's place is separate and Rudra and Mrityunjay's equation is separate. So no, I don't think Ananya should interfere. No matter how deep the relationship they all share. Sabki jagah alag hai. If you are asked to help, then do so. But otherwise do not mediate. It will put Ananya in a false position with Rudra.

This show is dark. Everyone has their own darkness, whether big or small. So Maya isn't the only one. The others are too. It's only we don't know it yet. Rudra rides on extremities as a character. He hates and loves with a passion. Rudra loved his father to death, but he lost his father to Mrityunjay Roy. So he hates Mrityunjay, but maybe his love for his dad may resurface, you never know. And he isn't blind in his hate to Mrityunjay Roy. He abhors his ways of protecting his sons, as he calls it. He would have done something similar with Rishi, but before that Rishi died or was rather killed.

As far as Ananya is concerned, jealousy could be natural, but that should not be the governing factor in an investigation against Maya. I expected so much more sensibility from her because Maya does not have it and Rudra does not use it.

Lastly, I am not meaning to be hurtful, just expressing my views. So please don't take any offense.

nope. I personally would not vehemently defend my Best friend's enemy when I'm not aware of the situation. Instead of interfering or trying to play the peacemaker, I would focus on trying to understand rudra or get him to open up to since he is my friend. if I had a friend , regardless of gender, I will always prioritize his/her feelings. how can she blindly support MJ when she is not aware of the past? ulta she talks to rudra as if he is a lost child, who does not understand his own father. of course no one knows MJ better than ms. ananya here.

ananya only aggravates rudra and now he is afraid to trust her because she is such a MJ fan.

Awesome write up.. you nailed the RuAn and Maya-Rudra relationships. I think the creators are not writing the script based on Ananya's view point. They need to wear her shoes; she does not know what the viewers know. She is just judging Maya based on her jealousies.

Maya - she was ruthless... is she now with Rudra? I loved her poker face when Rajiv questioned her. Jennifer is nailing Maya's facial expressions.

You are right too... Rajiv's character is just too good. I really like the eye codes between Maya and Rajiv.. The bonding is good.. He is the sound of reason for Maya, bringing her back to the revenge mode and at the same time encouraging her relationship with Rudra. I wonder what is Rajiv's story?

However, my thoughts... why Rudra now? Why not the rest of the people? I'm sure the creators would show Rudra-Maya relationship, then, my default one of the other main character would die. I wonder who would be next?
