Episode 2 - Jealousy

Nare’s suicide attempt is broken just in time. Her trance ends with two people – Melek on her mind and Sancar next to her body.

They say if it doesn’t kill you, it makes it stronger. Nare realizes why Eminem ft Rihanna “Friends with a monster that’s under my bed” is still popular and changes her plans to suit her emotions. Her new mantra is to start a new life with her daughter; far away from people who don’t believe her.

Halise organizes a kurban of lamb to show her acceptance of the DNA result and hoping to stop the gossip mills going overdrive. Hurray Melek Efeoglu gets her green card ;-)

The new bride has developed a irritable consummate syndrome and hence put her hormones into devious plans.

This episode largely to establishes the relationship of Sancar & his daughter Melek. They are just adorable to watch and replica on the tempered behaviors’!!

Sancar dutifully explains the origins of the Efeoglu clan and their friendship with Gediz’s ancestors. Melek is sharp to pick up the undercurrent of the history.

Gediz spends time with Nare to understand her inner turbulence and next move.

Jealousy is a form of hatred built on insecurity.

Sancar is shown to be a provoked with anything to do with Nare. Gediz having pathetic weakness to Nare while being fully aware of the ex-flames burning each other. Akin can concoct a story to suite his needs. Finally Menseke and Guven had their bile supplied from the village which could white wash Halise’s plans. ;-)

Evlan & Yahya carry the burden of being barren. This can be a spark off b/w Menseke and Evlan.

Nare Willie Winkie runs through the town …in the nightgown…rapping at the window and crying at the lock.

This part of the screen play looked repetitive and could have been improvised.

Halise believes in keeping her enemies closer; masterstroke to separate Melek and Nare :(

Guven looks like a man of action and less words. He compromises with Akin for a ransom and catches Nare into a mousetrap.

Nare and Kavruk give a hint of deep bonding in the few frames shown to us. Kavruk being a servant to Efeoglu could restrict him from sharing the truth about Nare’s cliff drop to Sancar soon after the misunderstanding?

Gediz moves around the central characters with agility to keep his intentions guessing.

Sancar buries the legend of the scorned bird near his love nest.

Let the bad blood(insecurity) bleed and cleanse the system for a new beginnings!!

PS : Wonder what is the intent of Halise's character to speak in riddles and admonishing tone.....(sic)

Episode 3 – Communication is a name

The story picks up its pace with Finding Melek. This drives the parents in to barriers and mountains in search of their common cause. Gediz perfects his act as the clownfish, working the background to embark the journey to homeland.

This is the first episode when the leads get to spend some time with each other without extended families, village kith and kin or any walls hearing their conversation …( dizi plots are strictly governed by frameworks)

Flashbacks establish the web of lies spun using each other’s vulnerable situation by Sefir and his alibi Akin. Through the awkward moments with familiar comfort; there is a sense of peeling into the consciousness due to the proximity. Questions on their mind – How did Sancar become rich and What happened on the eventful day to Nare & Melek before fleeing to Mulga still goes unanswered.

Nare slips into a Charlie’s Angel avatar to take on the Balkan hit-man and learn on daddy’s vices.

The gypsy woman has intuitive powers to talk of birds & bees ;-).

Melek & Matko friendship is a gaudy reflection to Sancar's guilt.

Halise’s high-handedness on Atiqa and Yahya throwing out Necdet are not good signs. These could be the first ones to be employed by Akin

New bride continues to dream of being the heiress to the Efeoglu wealth. She burns midnight oil to understand Laila Majnun chemistry and wants to replicate the co-valent bonding (gunpowder and fire mentioned in the subtitles got me into splits) in her own script called One thousand One Nights by Menekse Scheherazade. (Arabian Nights)

Gediz realizes the reason for his heart and mind racing. After a tea and free counseling with his sister, the diagnosis is - In Love with a wrong girl!!

Does this help Gediz control his actions and emotions with Nare?

Relationships cannot grow without communication.

Communication is a name to identify a person - Sancar’s Nare and Nare’s Sancar.

Yeah...Maps, Mobile phone, CCTV relays, human messengers, internet banking were some of the examples shown to us during the episode ;-)

So who is the mole working for Akin in Mulga.? Its perhaps Gediz sister and she is the only one hearing the Gediz-Sancar conversation, Akin and Muge (think that’s her name) are childhood friends along with Nare and kept in touch with modern modes of communication?

Congratulations to Sancar on receiving custodian rights of Melek.

Nare continues to be the third wheeling into either Iskili or Efeoglu household. Once she settles down at Mulga, the stage is set for a rodeo. (Gediz vs Akin vs Sancar)

Guess that poor Melek will be torn for love between her parents. Kavrug, Zehra etc should help her curb those conflicting moments.

Hoping that Sancar can process the authoritarian and corrupt Sefir and his so called protection for his daughter. Akin will land in Mulga soon to set the ball rolling. The ladies kitty party will continue to entertain, but its kinda of tiresome now.

Let Sancar & Nare learn to communicate and act which are louder than words.

This episode shows powerful acting by Neslihan, the epic push back on Sancar to explain her situation after the suicide was just amazing.

A difficult choice awaits Gendiz!

Learning that Sanjar went home with Menekşe, Nare erases their names on the trunk of the olive tree, which was once the wedding book. After that there is Sancar's Nare, there is only Nare.

Nare will now be only her daughter's mother, reject any kind of relationship with Shanzar except their daughter, and instead of living in a memory, she will create the life of her dreams for her and her daughter.

But Nare has a big obstacle. Sanjar, who does not want her to work or buy a home, says he will take care of her.

When Nare challenges Sanjar, he asks Gendiz for help in this fight. Gendiz learns how deep Nare's wounds are and has to make a difficult choice. Will he be on Sancar's side or face him? Will their friendship will survive this storm?

Yok artik I just hope the writers will not bow down to audience pressure...anyways we dont know how the story is going to progress 😕 Ok Gediz is a lovable character, but let him be just that...a support to Nare..let him not create more complications.
