While some brands have said they are reducing the visibility of ads featuring her in the short term, celebrity managers say future endorsement deals are expected to see clauses factoring in the risks involved with celebrities taking political stands that might anger administrations inclined to be vengeful.

“Normally, brands like to play safe and are wary of any controversy,” said Shashi Sinha, chief executive of IPG Mediabrands, which represents Coca-Cola and Amazon among others.

Good decision... Ricky Gervais speech said everything..

Celebrities should not interfere in political matters even if that's Akshay or Deepika. Anurag or Kangana. STFU.

Stop considering celebrities as some God. For your sanity and others around you..

Romans infact considered actors as low class.😆 aur hum mandir or museums bnwate hai stars ke.

Makes sense for the brands. No one is going to give you accolades for bringing losses to the brand you promote.

Damned if you do. Damned if you don't.

Every human should stand for something. They should have the confidence to be transparent about what they believe. People who don't stand for something, fall for anything, and such people are flaky and useless.

Celebrities are not Gods. But if they hide their views for whatever reason they are spineless fools.

I once wrote a defense of Taylor Swift for being neutral/silent about politics (when she was silent). I am now learning of how wrong I was for letting her off the hook and that her critics did have a good point.

Everything has a cost now days even your views also...

left and right both target the person as per their convenience and ideology..many people on twitter lost their job due to this ....

same celebrity get the money to post their pics and fwd some person views on their timeline ...now same celebrity loss the money due to expressing their views...

All depends on for what purpose she visited junu

If she believes in that sort of ideology

Then she should take this loss on chin and stand for her views which is fair enough

And if she did it for cheap publicity without being aware for what that issue was about then I would say well deserved loss for trying to fish in troubled waters for some publicity

Ricky Gervais was mocking HW hypocrisy, not the fact they vocalized their opinions. He was mocking he celebs for lecturing the hoi polloi on science when most are high-school dropouts. Gervais didn't talk about it (not sure of GG was before or after), but Ron Howard tweeted about HW hating Trump because Trump is immoral. Forgetting political side, can anyone fail to see the hypcrisy in this statement?

Exactly. Actors in general are Akhand chutiyas and hypocrites.

They want to be everything at once but don't wanna pay for their actions.

Want to act like God's own savior for humanity.

I don't understand why can't they just do their job. Your political ideology is not your personality trait.

People don't go around broadcasting their political leanings everytime except these chutiyas.
