It's not just consistency, his movies are true entertainers. Even the Golmaal series, despite its hiccups, are so entertaining (more so than any series, cough cough Housefull cough cough). And they are actually family entertainers.

I've always enjoyed his movies. Yeah, in the 90s, his action flicks were a bit gruesome, but overall they were still entertaining and he has just gotten better with time.
