So on a rather sad note, let us begin tonight's analysis because it is all about pain and broken dreams. It was really very sad to see Rudra and Maya tonight - and even more sad that they have no one but each other to share their pain because somewhere Ananya also has turned her back on Rudra's pain. And Maya's mom, well she cannot gauge the depth of her daughter's agony.
Maya's shower / Mrityunjay's prayer - It was a very beautifully shot scene, aesthetically. Mrityunjay doing Ma Durga's abhishek with doodh to cleanse her and in another scene Maya cleansing herself of the mud. It was like Mrityunjay pouring milk to Durga, but its like mud for Maya who is the Durga here and hence she needs to wash and cleanse herself. Additionally, Maya cleansed herself of any dreams she had begun weaving about Rudra because she cannot let that happen. That incident was a sign from Krishna that there is a chance of light in her life, but not without falling into the pits of immense darkness. Because from immense darkness comes light. But Maya in her pain and agony failed to see that sign positively. She instead assumed it was a sign that she cannot dare stray from her path and plans, because love can only destroy her, not make her happy. I hope going forward she is able to let go of her pain and agony and liberate herself.
MaHi conversation/Mrityunjay vs Rishi - Maya now cannot falter in her games, so she decides to charge with full force. She convinces Rishi to speak to his dad about them and the age difference between both of them. I am astounded that Rishi has so much confidence that his father will simply give him what he wants. But as I mentioned earlier, Rishi has never had to ask anything ever of his dad. His dad has always given him before asking. The day he asks for something Mrityunjay Roy thinks inappropriate, that's the day he will see the real Mrityunjay Roy. And that is what happened. When he spoke to his dad about it, what Mrityunjay said wasn't completely wrong. If you marry someone beneath you, you always have to prove that your partner is better. If you marry someone above you, you will be busy proving yourself better. So that is why marry your equal. But Rishi is too far-gone and immature to understand what his father is trying to explain. And Mrityunjay's desire to control does not help the situation. And Mrityunjay, show some class. You were just praying before Durga to help your son out, and you don't think twice before calling a woman 'bitch'. Money never gets you culture, never. Mrityunjay just proved that today. And in the coming episodes, we have to see more of this. With Rishi, it was just a trailer.
Delusional Roys & Ananya - Koi itna dim kaise ho sakta hai? Kya unn logo ko dikhai nahi deta? Of course, the Roys are never able to fathom that Rudra is agitated or in pain. And Ananya is so annoying and delusional. Yahi aukaad hai kya uski? Meri galti hai, that I thought they could give proper treatment to a girl best-friend, but no. Ananya came off as so desperate and delusional, that I had to close my eyes and hear the scenes. Only Mrityunjay had the good sense to see that something is off about Rudra, but Antara chooses to ignore as always, and Mrityunjay is delighted that he is winning, or not? Because Maya will not let that happen.
MayRa conversation - Both are very conditioned to hide their pain and both don't want love in their lives. But more than Rudra, its Maya who is running away from love. Because when Rudra came and was rehearsing how to speak with Maya, he was the one to say, "Did you feel what I felt yesterday?". Whereas his dialogue should have been what Maya told him that, "Kal raat ko kuch nahi hua". It is like roles switch ho gaye. Jo Rudra ko bolna chahiye, wo Maya bol rahi hai and jo Maya ko bolna chahiye, wo Rudra bol raha hai. It's like Rudra was hoping Maya would accept that she did feel something, but he felt disappointed that she did not. Instead, she treated it as a mistake and that Ananya is the one for him. But that also isn't sufficient for Rudra. He himself said that he does not want love and himself treated it as a mistake last night and that is why he scurried away to his comfort zone. Now when he hears the exact same thing from Maya, he is disappointed. Launde ko pyaar ho gaya hai, and this driving him away will only pull him in further. He is such a git, I tell you. Bada chauda ban ke gaya tha Maya ko 'NO' kehne, 'NO' sun kar waapis aane wala hai. But that will not last for long. After Rishi, inhi ki baari hai.
Waise aur kuch to hai nahi bolne ko, But I would just voice out what I felt about the new promo. I am in two minds about it frankly. And this has no morality or conscience involved. It is my plain and simple logic.
So my one side says that the wrist-slitting is a hoax, just like Antara's drowning was. Firstly, itne se khoon ko bahakar koi marta nahi, just pass out ho sakta hai. Based on tonight's precap, Rudra even comes to save him, but don't know if he will succeed. My wishful thinking and logic state that Maya will just keep him trapped somewhere to use him as leverage against Mrityunjay. As she had once told on a video call, "Ab isse zyaada acche lagoge na to tumhe ab ghar pe band karke rakhna padega, taaki mere sivaay, tumhe koi na dekhe." If she kills him off so easily, then how will she torture Mrityunjay every day. Rishi has to be separated from his family, he needs to separate from the shadow of Mrityunjay Roy, then only his strength will turn into his weakness. She could easily hide him away and sharpen him as a weapon that she can use at the right place and right time against Mrityunjay. Rishi is already very cheesed off with Mrityunjay. After that Maya can mould him easily against Mrityunjay, the way she wants to. That would be much better than just killing him off. Rishi can do a lot more than being the naive kid brother. And where is Ankit? Why did we not get a better understanding of what happened to him? Will he be used as the scapegoat to hide Rishi. I don't know. Deaths have been very symbolic in this show, Maya has always used death-inducing overtures to just reveal something or play some plan.
The other side states that this show was promoted as a dark show, with darker tones. So CVs are giving us that. It was expected that there would be deaths in the show. So first Rishi gets bumped off. This drives a deeper wedge between Rudra and Mrityunjay. And pushes Rudra towards Maya. And then it will be Rudra's turn. He will be the next sacrifice in this battle for vengeance. But Maya will falter here. She will fall in love with him. But she is too broken to love. So she will destroy Mrityunjay and will die in the end. And if they want a Mayra milan, they can kill them both and give them the happy ending as Maya once said, "Kahani ka khatm hona hi happy ending hai, Rudra". Which I so do not want.
That's it from me, tonight. Please share your thoughts.
