This i agree with. Jamia violence was really bad. In the sense even though all violence is bad but More force was used and people lost their eyesight. The worst was amu (hands were blown apart/we have no videos) and that doesn’t find mention anywhere. As sad and unfair as it May be we really need to accept all the support that we get. Because it has to start somewhere. So you’re right that JNU atrocities has shaken up more people than Jamia or amu massacres did.

Because it has become a political hub. Honestly I don't feel bad for the students whether it is leftist or right wingers. All they do is throw filth at each other and then act like they are victims.Even this whole scenario which is made into a national issue is two groups of students fighting each other. I hate how big political parties are affiliated to student unions. These students have more power than the university itself and that is why whole gundagardi happens.

Yes, and not thousands of universities. That was the original line, which was a lie, so I corrected it.

Currently off the grid and on holiday but I just caught the news and had to post this.

Throughout all my years of supporting Deepika, I've had moments of pride and happiness and then moments of utter disappointment.

But today am just completely overwhelmed. She showed up. She came through. Deepika has in no uncertain terms came out against the fascist, the most dangerous government I have seen in my lifetime. And this makes me so proud of her.

Im on a longish holiday and will be for some time so idk what else is going on,havent seen one chhapaak promotion, havent followed anything but have supported this person for 12 years and this feels good.

Her career as the number 1 female star is probably over for good. She won't enjoy the majority popularity that one gets by being quiet and never showing any spine in this country anymore. She has jumped in the line of the fire and this is permanent. PERMANENT. Bhakts and Sanghis hate anyone having a voice but a successful woman have a voice..They will try to strangle her voice with their utter joblessness. But I wish her well. I do. I hope she takes good care of her mental health because these idiots will sl*tshame her, bodyshame her, character shame her, throw all kinds of misogynist bullshit at her.

Biggest celeb advocate for mental health awareness who opened her own foundation with her money and biggest celeb to come out against the most dangerous government. Not words but action. History will remember this. And am glad she's on the right side of history.

In my heart of hearts,I wish I truly wish Mister Shah Rukh Khan regains his balls back and makes me as proud as Deepika did today. You can't no longer be a neutral in this country where government supported terrorists take to acid to keep women in line.

I have always had zero hopes from Bolly because Bolly never has the spine to rise above current party power. They pretend they are untouchable when it comes to whatever is happening in the country so am just completely shocked and surprised that Deepika took this big of a risk.

This is not just some random protest. This is something permanent. BJP can simply make her life a living hell now if they want to and they have already started with their bs. Am so shocked that she's done this.

I remember all the things Karni Sena had said about her. Bounty on her. Cutting off her nose. To be put a prize on a woman's head said on national TV. She had to take all that. Her coming out in support means a lot of me.

This isn't glorification of her. At all. The students and the people fighting for the cause will always come first.

And most importantly, this is what any decent human being will do. So no glorification for doing the right thing. Just that the Bolly rarely do the right thing. They rarely stand up for anything. So am just proud that she took this risk, the guts to do this..not easy.

To put yourself in the line of fire and vicious attacks when youre at the pinnacle of public support.

So utterly proud.

Lastly, happy new year to all you non-Bhakts and non Sanghis. Have a great year lovelies. 💛 Off I go. See y'all soon.
