i remember how some years ago..when she was at an event and was asked about acid survivors..she goes with something like..this is not the right time to talk about it..

where as almost everyone else when asked showed much more compassion..someone like katrina went on to talk in depth about their courage and applauded them

i remember even making a post on that..

now deepika feels much differently but that is what raises questions..despite not interacting with laxmi earlier..why would someone who claims to be a sensitive person..not spare a min out back then to speak something on them..and why now so much..coz she has a movie coming up on it..

i listen to meghna speaking on acid survivors..and i feel she genuinely cares..with deepika..it is like when laxmi or meghna are talking..all i can sense is her thinking what to say or do next with which the focus can just stay on me..she loves attention like no other..she wants to just have limelight on her always..i hardly get genuine vibes from her..esp during entire chapaak promotions..it looks so fake from her end

The thing with DP is that I think she really tried to be genuine initially. When I read the Ranbir-DP relationship interview that was posted on Reddit recently, I realised how much DP has changed. She seemed like a simple-girl-next-door in 2008/2009 with the type of answers she was giving. Ever since the infamous DP-Sonam Koffee episode I feel like she has held back her 'real' self - she sometimes lets it shine through in bits and pieces here and there, but I think she somehow has become super guarded to the point of being super boring in interviews / publicly post 2010. It was a tough time for her - she's mentioned losing all the friends in Bombay because of her breakup and then with her films not doing well. The professional career changed with Cocktail and she hasn't looked back since. Which is why, as someone who likes her in acting etc, I've learned to deal with her off-screen public persona with a pinch of salt. It's essentially all part of the game of PR / not being yourself. It doesn't take you very far in the entertainment industry for sure, and I guess the opportunistic behaviour stems from that.

Was she even genuine to begin with?

She is a people pleaser and diplomatic... she is a true bangalore girl, most of them are diplomatic but their core values are strong and they are very down to earth. She and vidya are only two actress who i feel can have a normal conversation besides bolly🙄
