I hope this is ironic, but I see how gullible and immature teenagers start shipping Sidnaaz because of such videos.

At the face value, to many it would seem that it's an absurd comparison.

But in reality, the rise in thukla's popularity is to be credited to the regressive male power fantasy image Indian people have. Not only men but unfortunately few women too.

This popularity and this movie are inter connected. In Dhadak and in kabir Singh, people irrevocably defended the scene where the male protagonist slaps the female protagonist.

In heaps and bound to the defence, the director of the oh so glorious Kabir Singh said and I quote,

"When you are deeply in love and deeply connected to a woman (and vice versa), if you don’t have the liberty of slapping each other, then I don’t see anything there,”

Just like this, shukla is defended for s*ut shaming, character assassination and what not.

There's a scene in the movie where the guy literally tries to rape a girl while threatening her with a knife when she refuses to have sex with him coz her boyfriend is in the other room.

People were laughing at this scene in the theatre and also at the bai chasing scene.

Just like people laugh and defend him saying that he'll destroy Asim's career and killing him and everyone knows what he does to rashmi and constantly.

This movie if doesn't have a direct correlation then it has an indirect one.

Male population see these behavior as cool and they think of women as a commodity who get supplied to them with money. This is the general Indian mindset and thukla is their poster boy along with Kabir.

Surprising India has more woman and is highest in domestic abuse . Womam is objectified as item girl in Bollywood and woman in show are doormats with no good individuals

It is sad that the show reflects indian society a strong woman is not respected a doormat all of them Mahira sana arti amd even Shafali zariwala and in fact I find safari bagga much stronger than any girl and hemansi stringer and both of them do not get votes and colors are promoting such behavior it is nit romantic it is abuse and no self respect to woman

sana who has no self respect Sleeping in bed with shukla are considered cute

I have 2 boys in USA I will kill them if they do not treat Womam equal or respect them. . American woman will not put up that shit of shukla and my son know that they don’t watch tv shows as I was watching they are asking me why is Indian woman listen to men like that??
