Naagin Characters Report Card: Who goes hiss and who goes phiss?

After watching the first few episodes, here's what I have made of the performances-

Brinda and Dev are standard TV characters for now. I expect Dev to remain the same but hope for Brinda to come into her own as the story progresses. I think Nia can kill it as a fierce naagin but previous seasons of Naagin have retained the vanilla-ness of leads, so I will keep my expectations low. Both of them are following in the footsteps of previous Naagin leads.

Sayantani has been the standout performer so far. She is sizzling as Manyata. Those eyes The phrase qaatilana aankhen is made for her. When she is on screen, I don't look at anyone else. Very arresting screen presence and personifies what a Naagin is supposed to be.

I have watched Jasmin in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji and Tashan-E-Ishq and liked her a lot. I found her natural as the bubbly Punjabi girl but here, she seems out of her element. I still hear Happy or Twinkle in her dialogue delivery and not Nayantara. She sounds like a baby. The scenes where she tries to seduce Dev give me second hand embarrassment. I expect more from her.

What is this toli of fattu cousins they have? They look like a K-pop troupe that failed lol. I have trouble counting how many there are when they are on screen. 😆 I think there are too many negative sidekicks in the show. They could easily bump 5 off and it wouldn't make a difference. They should have another good family member for Dev apart from Baa. I see EK is using her favourite tactic of having a sympathetic Dadi/Sasumaa to bring the FL into the household. I think Dev and Brinda will marry for Baa's sake.

It's also like half the cast of KZK is here. Geetanjali and the guy who used to play Indroneel but as I said, they could have bumped off one couple. It's annoying to have so many nikhattu characters. Geetanjali is not as scary as Aparna in KZK and I think it would be a good opportunity to bring that back. She aced it as the creepy Aparna.

Sarla Maa, I mean, Brinda's maa is here and I think they should have made her the sassy naagin. Would be fun to see Panditji find out his sassy wife is a nakhreeli naagin. 😆

Rajat is gonna turn out to be shady for sure because Indian TV. He may be ready to sacrifice Brinda for his business. He might team up with Dev's kameene kousins.

Totally agree. Sayantani is too good👏👏👏👏.

The number of cousins and extra chacha chachis are irritating..this is by far the worst set of cousins of ml of all the seasons.

. Geetanjali is not as scary as Aparna in KZK and I think it would be a good opportunity to bring that back. She aced it as the creepy Aparna.yeah expecting more from geetanjali.she has the potential.

Somewhat good analysis I agree Shayantani as Manyata slays I dont like Brinda as nice want her to be bad Naagin like Shine like Kajol was in Gupt Movie Nia suits it

Dont want Dev brinda marriage please it's so expected in show maza nahi ayega instead I love Dev Nayantara to get married

I like jasmine as Nayantara she is the reason I m now hooked to Naagin But they need to show her like she is positive naagin not this seductive naagin as she dont suits that she is cute doll 😆

ranta.nanda@ I love how you explain those so beautiful way.i am not nia fan but I love her work her performance since EHMBH to web series twist she is so outstanding performer.honestly I was expecting someone else to be nayantara role for me e jasmin is cute she is not for naagin role be its positive or negative/gray ,at least for now big no. maybe within month as I said earlier I will probably change my mind if her performance get better as it should be for a naagin role.but I have trust on ekta no matter how bad her show but her casting always proved right.

About geetanjali they don't have proper track for her yet to show dangerous side of her.even brinda mom can be a villain too lolz.baa is like typical ekta show element and those cousin they all are just very annoying and crap. Even if all of them get killed show won't loose anything .only one character here look so naive is dev father or maybe I missed something. He is like whatever happening around him he dont know or can't sense anything. Rest let's see because lot of new characters will be introduced.

I love Sayantani a lot as I think she is the "Perfect Nageen" . Don't know why she gets so short characters all the time in all her serials? As she is really a brilliant actress, great dancer uparse hot, sexy and damn perfect for Nageen. I wish she stays here for a long time. And instead of Naintara she works as the other Nageen. Nia got a very sexy back which will work fantastic if she turns in to Nageen. But for that attire and attitude needs to change. Together with Sayantani and Nia it will rock. Although I guess there is another Nageen.

For Naintara and Dev..........I prefer them to die. 🤣 Yes like Jasmine in "Dil toh Happy" as she was that punjabi shy gal there. Accent to look all suited for that "Happy" character. But not interested to see a Punjabi nageen who speaks english like punjabi. 😆Better be bholi, bhali gal, killed by khatarnak Nia or Manyata or some other churel or nageen. Dev too sidha sadha gahrelu banda lag raha hai. Better die too and another hot guy needs to imported for this Nia or other golden Nageen.

Nia may take revenge on her mom too for killing Dev and moma for killing Naintara. Wovi chalega,.

And this bunch of not so hot cousins with no acting skill needs to go. At present all the Ek shows are hiring all these crowds for no reason. Unnecessary paying them.

If we go by Ek's history Brinda will be a Positive Character. Too many loopholes right now. Shayantani and Nia are looking good.

I tried to watch this season but got irritated and bored after 30 min of the first episode

it seems very redundant and boring now

S1 was the best with great actors and casting
