Was Arhaan really wrong in not telling Rashami about his kid?

I mean the kid is not a part of his life and family. He's not in touch with him. So what's really wrong if he didn't tell Rashami about it? It's not necessary for couples to tell everything about their family. Maybe Rashami too wasn't interested in knowing about his family.

The kid is part of Arhaan's past, someone Arhaan doesn't care about in his present life. Was it really necessary for Arhaan to tell Rashami about a mistake he made in the past? The kid is 13 years old, that means it has been more than a decade. It's not that he was going to marry Rashami without telling her. They were just in a relationship.

Not sure about Rashami or how she feels about it. But in my perspective, if a man does not care about his own son, I would definitely wonder what kind of a man he is. I'm not talking about his ex at all here, it is just about the son.

That is the only thing that pinches me.

And about Arhaan not telling Rashami, well, she is a better judge of her own life.

I don’t know how old is their relationship..if it’s new than it’s fine for now but if they decided to get married and he didn’t tell her than it’s totally wrong..n by Rashami reaction after knowing about kid it seems either she knew or it doesn’t matter to her..other than the kid matter Arhaan looks like a decent guy..it seems he really like Rashmi and he does everything for her..I have hardly seen any husband n bf do same for their partners..n sometimes the way Rashmi handles him and talks with him..he tolerates a lot of shit from her..

I agree with FemmeFatale..I wont trust a man who doesnt try to maintain contact with his child. It was wrong..he should not have hidden that from her..especially since she had told him everything about her life.

But then its between Rashmi and him. She can choose whether to get over it soon or bring it up later. Other people have no right to make him look like a villain. Its not as if theres an accusation of sexual harassment against him..like the ones against certain other male contestants. This Arhaan thing is being played up to make Rashmi look bad...and its sad that all kinds of people from outside like whatsherface punjabi hina khan and others feel like commenting on it when they should actually be waiting for Rashmi to be out of the BB house to give her advice if they must.

We don't know why Arhaan is not in touch with his kid. Maybe his mother doesn't allow him. Courts anyway support the mothers when it comes to custody. Can't blame the Dad if he's not getting favours. And it has been a decade, enough time for him to move on from his son.

I think it is necessary to tell about your past marriage, divorce and kids-- before marrying someone else. Because these are marriage related topics.

Maybe telling about past bf/gf etc, is not so important.

But man must tell because, that earlier child may need support and may have legal rights on other properties. So new wife may come to know later. So anyhow that will come later so tell in advance.

I don't think his ex family wants to have anything to do with arhaan.

It could be they do not want arhaan in child's life.

Arhaan and Rashmi do not look like people in love. Their relationship either stems from some 'majboori' or is fake-created specifically for big boss. They have no couple chemistry as was clearly evident during the Christmas celebrations when all the other couples were dancing together. They look and behave more like distant buddies and going by Rashmi's behaviour he is more like a paid servant to her.

I agree with this. Arhaan otherwise genuinely feels like a decent guy. He seems like he genuinely cares about Rashami and he does seem to help put in the domestic work of the house. He is also mistly quite polite. Also, he doesn't seem to have this typical patriarchal ego which some men do seem to have ( *cough*shukla*Cough)

But when it comes to the son, I just don't get why he would not try to keep in touch with his son. Maybe to avoid his ex? Lazy excuse though.
