I know promos are highly misleading, so I try not to get too invested but this line just pissed me off to no end and I just had to run here and vent lol

One of the country's top 5 most successful director/producers comes to you, a 26 year old nobody, (as he remembers from 3 months ago) and tells you "You want to work in the industry after this, right?"

This is not advice.

This is a THREAT.

In fact, this is the VERY SAME threat Shukla was making outside the smoking room, just delivered in a sweet way.

Rohit Shetty is known for 2 things: shitty movies (that make bank!) and for being extremely well connected in entertainment. He is super involved in TV, judges talent shows all the time, hosts Fear Factor, is buddies with Dharma (which makes him a bridge to class movies outside his own mass movies), and is now one of the very few sure-shot "star director"-cum-hitmakers in the country alongside Karan Johar and Bhansali (AT THAT LEVEL - of course, at a lower budget/higher content level there are lots more). In fact, with his expanding cop universe (where rumors are a female cop - maybe Deepika - will be added next), his success is on the rise and he STILL hasn't peaked! This guy is/will continue to be legitimately one of the most powerful men in Indian entertainment outside of channel heads and production house CEOs/casting agents. Is he just filling in for Salman and reading off a script? Probably. But is he a guy you want to be on TV defying, especially considering you are an ambitious guy with a newly earned fanbase that you have no idea how big/strong it is? Absolutely not.

It break my heart to say this, because Asim was on his way to becoming probably the best contestant in the history of Bigg Boss to completely be isolated not just in the house, but by the show ITSELF, and come out as a winner (at least #2). But at this point, if I were him, I would give in, make fake peace with Shukla and just get through the month and a half with as little jhamela as possible. 😔

Life is long, the show is manipulated, and you gotta do what you gotta do. Bigg Boss is 3-4 months. You gotta look out for the next 30-40 years. I'm still hoping somewhere deep that he is braver than I would be, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't blame him even one iota if he cools off and disappears now. He is popular enough & good at tasks to hit the top 5 already, anyway. Plus, I also have a feeling the channel will reward him if he plays along with other reality shows, maybe even hosting gigs or other Voot/Viacom projects/live shows/MTV shows type opportunities. Looks like they are really, at the cost of the entire world knowing their game, going to push a violent misogynistic sl*t-shaming bully as their hero, afterall.

Yeah it kinda looked a threat rather than advise, that too from one of the top director in the showbiz🤢

Let it go asim, play along, and let their fav take trophy, because it's not worth it, because even Rashmi advised ramlal not to go against vikas because she surely knows how this industry works, you don't want to end up like shehnaaz?you know the fans you've earned they can't do shit if therez noone to cast you in movies or shows

(Talking abt promo)

Completely resonate with your feelings.

This was a veiled threat, and it means a lot coming from shetty himself. It also indicates very clearly what Colors means.

It’s a warning To Asim to fall in to line or fall out.

fans can think what they want to and they still want him to go up against Sid but the truth is Asim needs to put his career above bb, because in this industry one needs connections more than talent to survive.

I don’t care if Asim’s screentime is completely cut or even if he finishes outside the top 5 ( unlikely at this stage) but I want him to have a career a promising one post this.

BB is a small battle - and as they say it’s okay to lose a few battles to ultimately win the war.

For me this season wouldn’t have stood out in anyway if it wasn’t for Asim. He wasn’t like any other contestant before. But for now I really hope he looks at the big picture than this stupid show

Exactly. Fans matter but connections matters the most in this field.

For his own good he should make peace with Colors. This is an attempt to make shukla the clear winner and Asim has to give way to this bully. Sad but Asim is already winner.

Might be, but it doesn't need to have affect on Asim since he ain't looking for a career in showbiz? Wasn't he planning on moving to London?

You wrote my heart out 😭

Its so sad honestly..There are bullies in house and he is handling them in the most mature way. I cant even think if I was in place of him I would be even siting there forget about giving back in the best way and standing there tall for himself everytime. I have started loving him even more with each passing days. He has his own flaws but he is ready to change them I wish they motivated him a bit. And now this bullies from outside the show... Clapssss!! I dont understand why are the stooping so low. Itni hi nafrat hai to Himanshi ki tarah evict kar do. Will extract TRP from him, show him in bad light, demotivate him, break him, humiliate him and his family and at the end of the day when he takes them all like a boss threaten him.

Yes he wants to but he wanted to cash in on his popularity from the show for a year or two and have enough money to start some business ( basically open a gym) in UK.

RS isn't going to offer him anything and even colors i doubt. Everyone knows RS alongwith Dharma only signs nepo kids or already established actors. For a newcomer like asim, i don't think they'll bother to give him work anyway. And he's not interested in tv , his main profession is modelling and i think he's gained enough recognition for that. International brands won't look at someone like KJo and RS. I don't want asim to consider his threat. He should do his own thing and just maintain a distance from the bull. I don't want them to be even cordial as i know shukla wom't leave any opportunity to bully him or nominate him. If asim now gets cordial with shukla,he'll be hurt more because of his bullying. I don't want that . He didn't spare asim when they were frnds and constantly found ways to demean him. I don't want asim to go through that again just because a movie biggie with script in his hands is asking him to do so. He'll earn more respect if he puts his self respect above everything else. And regarding KKK , it isn't confirmed. And i highly doubt they'll being asim on board for that. In KKK7 also when shukla was a part, he paid lumps of money to win which is why after being eliminated 3 times , he was still brought back. I have no hopes from colors and RS to boost up his career.
