He is quite popular after Mirzapur. He's role was well received too. Nodoubt his presence won't change fortune of the film but as a leading actor he should go out and take part in promotion.

Just like how Sonakshi accompanied Salman in d3 promotions knowing her contribution to film success is less than zero. They are part of the film they deserve to be everywhere.

I understand what you mean but you said she is insecure of his popularity. What’s there to be insecure about? He is no big star for her to be insecure. It’s not like they have ignored him from beginning to finish. Meghna is the one promoting at his place for some reasons which I don’t understand.
