bold- That is the irony Nora! He can act and deliver what's required of him... but how is it doing him any good when the story in general limits his character? No other character on BB (or any male lead anywhere) is as restricted as Azaan. That wastes Arjit in a way. He loses opportunities to make a mark as an actor when no one takes his character seriously. He loses out on honing his skills further. As someone who has seen his craft in his previous... I feel it is criminal to not give his character anything meaningful, let alone layers! He's the most misused member of the cast. I read somewhere that it's rare to find an experienced actor being treated like that on his own show... which again is a valid point. So I would like to reiterate to your original question... I do not understand why he is still sticking around BB. All it does in the name of a "lead role" is to make him the face of a now weakened character and waste his peak acting years/age! LSD has to be one of the most unprofessional, self-destructive PHs around!

An actor has an ability to make people connect with a character, when you connect with them, you think like them and you know what is going to be their next step, Azaan not doing anything after knowing that his wife is in danger was out of his character. They did not do justice to Shazaan, Shaira, Azaan, Arjit, Diana and Shayaan, all this for Noor. I am on this forum since beginning of this drama and I am yet to see a Non-Samiksha fan taking Noor's side, they twisted the whole plot to make Noor a larger than life character who can purchase Begum Mahal for Rs1500 crore where Azaan has been reduced to someone who can't afford to pay salary of DilShuka.

I am not on other social networking sites, I see comments on YouTube and here, if they want feedback from audience what is so difficult to understand that viewers want a strong Azaan, Shaira and Shazaan? Noor can be strong and have her own parallel track, but that's not it

If you look back this show is a failure, all they have achieved is that Samiksha got to play every character on paper, this drama is like an audition for her where Arjit and other actors are mere workers for her, this is not a television show just a long video shoot for Samiksha's acting career.

It is difficult to appreciate good acting when the characterisation and narrative is not engaging, especially when all Arjit is required to do is react/emote. We have discussed Azaan's inaction and his scenes became more frustrating to watch when compared with the perspective given to other characters. Compared to the SJ and DK, his talent, ability and screen presence is not utilised and so deemed wasted by many of us...

Precisely that regarding ShaZaan. I came to Bahu Begum as a neutral viewer to watch Arjit as Azaan. I accepted ShaZaan as the jodi; they were stated so and in my opinion they were better suited. I was open to a love story which was established, not the typical love-hate and one which would endure a conflict with the childhood friendship. Though they were past the falling-in-love phase, I saw a journey for them after marriage. ShaZaan are indeed popular with viewers and fans want to see them back together. Though there is one group, which we all know of, blaming them for everything which is wrong in the show. There are claims the show suffered due so much attention towards ShaZaan, when in actual fact most tracks in BB have favoured Noor.

Two minute lollipop romance does not compensate for lack meaningful scenes and attention to the married couple/jodi in the overall narrative; ShaZaan's relationship was never shown/explored properly and was always compromised/undermined for Noor. CVs could have given N a parallel track and extended her connection to Faiz for more depth in the initial story. Instead these writers just chose to force her between ShaZaan at the earliest opportunity and even after her divorce. N’s actions can never be justified and whitewashing her was unacceptable. All this weakened the friendship and love dynamic in the show which resulted in weakening Azaan’s role too. They did not even explore Razia Begum and Azaan’s bond either which is as, if not more, important as the love and friendship; RB is the title character, Begum of Bhopal and Azaan’s mother!

Claiming the show has three leads, then writing a show which revolves around just one is just deceitful. Making Azaan redundant, making Shayra care too much for Noor's happiness, butchering characters in consecutive tracks; showing no love, no friendship, no family moments, no peace, promoting torture and making N the be-all-and-end all of BB, ruined anything likable about the show. The entire blame for this mess can be directed towards the writers and producer, who have no imagination or talent and only SJ benefitted from this...

@Nora and @The_May_Rose all this? I have been following comments and posts in instagram. After reading all, there is only one conclusion. Funny but true:

If the story is bad, even Bollywood Khans and Bachchan cannot save the shows like Bahu Begum.
