It's actually the advertising revenue that gets affected by the ratings. If lesser people watch B2 then why spend on ads for it when one can get more eyeballs by giving ad to a rival channel. This is what impacts the channels. But ye un dino ki baat hai also gradually warmed up so I hope this show gets its due time and support.

I hope the writers/creaters stop determining their value on Barc TRP basis. Beyhadh is way diff then all the other drama and we need to get these types more and more on our platforms. We need smart content not stupid SN dramas with Saas tadka. So irritating.

What's SN drama? Like Armu said Ratings = Revenue. That's why they are important. Otherwise they don't determine quality at all.

Does success of a show entirely depends upon these ratings or online rating also counts. If online ratings do count then I guess it's fine.

Ugh the show is so good. But I feel this time Sony hasn’t promoted the show well. Should’ve done some promo with the Kapil Sharma show.

I watch the show on Sony LIV. But I will probably start watching it on TV (Tata Sky) if it helps with ratings.

I just don’t understand like there’s no good show (fiction) on Indian TV for me except Beyhadh. It’s like the first show I’m watching in 2-3 years because I like shows with strong female leads and storylines

Also, I would like to point out, Sony as a brand in India is weak compared to Colors, Star, Zee. Colors promotes its new show very well by incorporating its leads into its non fiction. They even had like a star studded event to launch the new season of Naagin.

Ever since the new rule of paying for channels you watch. This might also had an impact. Like people who don’t watch Sony might have not paid for the channel itself like me. But ever since I came to know about Beyhadh 2, I started watching it on Sony LIV

Before when the ready made packs of DTH were there, we could switch channels and have a choice of what we could watch. But ever since this new rule, we are limited by our own choices.

Like I only pay for Colors because of Bigg Boss.

This is interesting, a poll about how we watch Beyhadh.

Out of voters, about 69% are watching online.

SN= Supernatural 😂😂

Is it though? Ratings=Revenue. I heard they only count TRP on the basis of few localities only. They don't have excess to all data. So i am not sure how accurate it is.

Though i am disappointed with our audience more, when will they learn to be a smart audience? Wahi ghise pite without common sense show. New gen is completely moving away from Indian TV now.

Not really. Beyhadh 1 was a huge blockbuster despite similar trps. It was a huge online hit, unique content and got critical acclaim. Most of the Sony fiction shows get similar trps. Beyhadh 2 is back only due to popular demand. If trp was the criteria for Sony shows them bh2 would have never come back in the first place.

We can't compare bh season 1 to this. During season 1 bh and kuch rang were only fictions in Sony that got 0.5-0.7 ratin. Rest all were 0.3 etc.in a way even with 0.5 bh was top show in Sony and I guess only hanuman was above it. Now that's not case. Sony mytho shows are workin so is patiala babes and tara from satara. So this season needs more trp to be as much hit as last time. This is my take based on my understanding of trp system
