Mughal E Azam in the Golden era did have a huge craze. Others I can remember are Sholay, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, DDLJ, QSQT (esp music).

Jab We Met- harem pants with kurti and always having kohl filled eyes became a fashion trend. I remember the Rani's kurti style from Bunty Aur Babli. Ladies wanted the short collar wali kurti with pants 😆

Hollywood can I remember Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Grease, Harry Potter, High School Musical (omg the merchandise available at every freaking store!). Marvel is still on going.

TV toh...Hindi mein the K Series by Ekta Madam. CID was huge when it started.

English mein FRIENDS, Dr Who, Mr. Bean, Sherlock, Simpsons, kids mein Teletubbies, Thomas and Friends, Shaun the Sheep, Drake and Josh, Thats So Raven and most importantly Hannah Montana (300 rs mein files and notebooks milli thi with Miley's face on it 😆)

Add more to the list!!

I'll stick to Bollywood:

Sholay, DDLJ and Mughal-E-Azam are classics that most Bollywood lovers must have watched.

Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham had crazy popularity too. All of them are still so popular. There are memes made on them still 😆 Jab We Met, Chak De India, Krrish, Dhoom 2 also

From 2009-2019, I guess 3 Idiots (and to a certain extent ZNMD too) would be the one that would be the most remembered. Then Baahubali for sure.

The only TV show that come to my mind when it comes to insane fan following is Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. That show took everything by storm, India and overseas. And especially IF. The ones who've been there would know the extent of the craziness 😆

I double-triple agree..... Even now i get updates on twitter of its craze abroad, airing in new new countries..... I heard even now it fetched good trp's on re-telecast.

I still remember the way i would wait for spoilers, hoping that the snakewa stays away from khushi and we get more Arshi scene..... watching every episode without fail, even the repeats, but till date i haven't seen the terrace scene to avoid seeing Arnav so hurt 😆

Best movie for memes is Phir Hera Pheri. That scheme wala scene where Akshay is wearing orange pants alone is priceless 😂😂😂😂

Tbh i never understood the craze behind IPKKND. I tried watching it for Sanaya whom I loved from MJHT days but nahi hua yaar. I am probably gonna get bashed now 🙈🙈🙈

@bold Hello hi bye bye, we're in the same boatwa, bitiya 🤣 Tell me about it. The timing of every single person in that scene 😡That "chhod dijiye Anjali ji ko" is still vivid in my mind, and I feel you, Arnav's expression was truly heartbreaking 😒 I'm low-key still a fan tbh 😆 Brings so much of nostalgia. Mishti, khooshboorat spoilers, thousands of fan fictions, millions of gutter threads and dissection of every single freaking detail (Teri Meri, poolside almost kissiya, Arnav's baniyaan), drooling threads, the *cough* dori *cough* 😆 I don't think anything was spared. But Oct-Nov 2012 was a show in itself lmao what with those hundreds of call count threads and conspiracy theories about Gul 🤣 I mean Barun Sobti's stardom was on another level. That was another era of IF.

Yeah those never get old. And Paresh Rawal's glasses 😂

Lol at that time you would have been reported 10 times a few seconds after this comment 🤣 Those were the days.

Also, back to Bollywood, I feel Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has its own fanbase too.

How dare you not like the scene where Khushi is thrown down from the first floor by hot boss? You didn’t find it romantic?

I remember for a small bit- Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani. Every girl I used to interact during those days would dream of leaving home in the middle of the night for an adventure.
