Then what about ahmedias and Shias in Pakistan which are facing the same fate as Hindus in Pakistan.

And what about the Tamil Hindus in Sri Lanka which are also not treated well there??

Since when India has started taking decision on the basis of religion.

Then what's the point of being biggest secular country.

I won't have problem with this bill if India declares itself non secular country.

Tho, how can anyone prove they belong to "so and so" religion?! ... I do agree with one point the newbie is making about "security lapse" since who knows who may be given the citizenship!

Not sure how BJP will tackle the above issue!

Since I am new bie here so I can't post hyperlink. But chlo

So according to the CAB, hindu, Sikh,Jain,Parsi, Christian can have citizenship of the India if they are from Afghanistan,Pakistan and Bangladesh. Since it is said that these countries are Muslim countries so other communities are not safe there.

But this bill this clearly provides citizenship on the basis of religion which is against the essence of the India constitution.

Also if these people coming from these countries doesn't have document, they will be provided citizenship which is serious security lapse according to RAW.

Next NRC is coming, if we combine these two bills, only Muslims will have to proof their Indian citizenship (before 1971) Now according to the Sachar committee Muslims are least developed community in India. It means they are economically and socially very underdevloped. Since they are not well educated there are chances that many of them won't even have documents ,they won't be able to prove their citizenship even though they are not illegal migrants. Further they will be shifted to detention camps.

I mean how is it possible that everyone will have documents where they can prove that they were in India before 1971 also.

Further, according to the NRC which was conducted in Assam. Our of the 1.9 million so-called illegal migrants, 14 lakhs are Hindus but they will be granted citizenship but those 6 lakh muslim are being shifted to detention camps.

Lastly even if you are talking about the minorities atrocities in Pakistan, this bill forgets about the ahemdias , Shias which are also monitorities in Pakistan and are not well treated.

Nd what about about the Tamil Hindus in Sri Lanka???

Everyone has to show some kind of proof not only Muslims. So why are only Muslims rattled?

About illegal muslims, they came her not because they were percecuted unlike hindus. They came illegally for economic reasons. If anyone can prove they were religiously percecuted by the state gov they will be allowed gere..if not, they will be sent back to their respective countries. Muslim countries should take responsibility for their own.bwhy do you expect India to grant these people citizenship who were at the forefront of dividing the country based on the religion? They have gotten their share of land bow they are coming back to get some more. How morally bankrupt you have got to be to even think about it, huh!?

That is sectarian issue while CAB is made on religion basis.

Isbt Jinnah Shia? It was ahmediyas and Shia who demanded the partition. Why should they be allowed back in the first place? And Islam is the state religion of Pakistan. It's internal matter if Islam which is their state religion. If they can't live with each other, what makes you believe they can live with Hindus? They already told us in 1947 that they can't. So why demand to give them Indian rights again?

Some people have expressed concern over this. I'm sure GOI will follow appropriate and proper procedure so that no one takes undue advantage of this act.

Congress is good for nothing.

They just want to oppose everything which bjp introduces to increase their vote bank without even understanding the basis of any bill.
