I mean, if you don't know the background and shariah of men being allowed four wives you should probably research it.

I'm not going to go into it here but people are seriously uneducated on this topic, which allows men to get away with things they are not actually allowed to do.

As for that previous post, the suggestion was that if men are allowed to have four wives whilst women are not, men are also allowed to commit sins and get forgiveness whilst women are not. That entire thought process is a complete distortion of Islam and the rights it gives men and women. It is also advocating 'get out jail free' cards for men who commit adultery and there is absolutely no basis for this in Islam.

Men and women get the same punishment for the same sins, and both are allowed forgiveness if they repent.

Some of the discussion on this forum is very toxic and plays into the very dangerous Pakistani mindset of 'men can do whatever they want and be forgiven, but if a woman does something wrong she should be punished and not allowed to move on'. If people want to endorse that regressive mindset, fine; but don't try to justify it using religion because there is no religious basis for it.

Just to clarify, this isn't aimed at you specifically. I'm just really appalled at some of the posts on this thread

@green:I have tried to research about it in all honesty but never could understand let alone be convinced as to how it can be applied to the present world....My question to you was not in rhetoric but my continued sincere effort to understand this very enigmatic concept of Islam!

Can you blame if people distort things as per convenience when they can quote from stuff like(which I have read in this very thread and was left appalled) - ‘2 women witnesses are needed but only 1 man witness is enough’ ‘Women cannot pronounce ‘talaaq’ in the face of a man but a man can’ etc....

@black: That is what I believe in too...Religion or no religion, Islam or no Islam- that is the only thing that makes sense! But right here in this very thread I have read about people wanting to take things in their own hands because apparently that is what Allah has said- to not let bad people go without punishment.....

I genuinely despair at the way some people think.

U misunderstood here

I m talking about haram and halaal .

Mehwish ne jo kiya wo haram tha..agar koi Mard bhi ye kaam karta I mean kisi k nikaah me hote hue kisi aur se physical hota with out nikaah than wo bhi same cheez hai for me.

Haram kaam koi bhi kare wo maafi k qabil nahi..for a sake danish maaf bhi kar de mehwish ko last me I m ok with it but again danish se nikaah ho jaye I m not wanting this.

Mehwish does not deserve a happy ending. I hate cheaters I am extreme about them. Break up formally then do what you want.

More than seeing Danish Hania happy I feel if she truly loves Rumi his rejction should hurt her.

she valued luxury more than roomi so its clear she never loved him...maybe after she loses everything she will love him but whats the point?

Why not? Every human being has a right to question anything in this world, if the questioning is to understand the concept....You or anyone else has no right to stop the questioning!

I m agree with u.. maafi sabko milni chahiye.. b/c maaf karna bahot acchi baat hai.

but here mehwish ko khud se koi ehsaas nahi hua k wo galat hai.. ya usne danish and rumi k saath galat kiya tha, Maham ki entry ki wajah se mehwish road par aayi hai and that's y she behaved like this in last episode. warna usko koi maafi wali feeling nahi thi.

agar wo khud Sehwar se shadi cancel kar k aati than scene kuch aur hota. but now Danish uske liye last option hai. that's y she came to his flat.

mehwish ko Danish maaf bhi kar de to chalega but usko phir se apni life me enter nahi karna chahiye.

hania k saath ya uske bina.. I want bas Danish and rumi khush rahe.

ofcourse cheating ki saza milni chahiye.. koi bhi kyu na ho.

ye wahi mehwish thi jisne kaha tha ME TO REH SAKTI HU TUMHRE BINA AND REHNA CHAHTI HU.

isko Sehwar k ghar Jane ki bhi jaldi thi. raat ko hi chali gayi thi lol

rumi ka nahi mehwish ko sabse jayada hurt Danish ka rejection karega. b/c she knows wo pagal hai uske pyaar me. that's y wo hania se bhi Milne jayegi next episode me.
