Will Chhapaak cross Crore mark?

Tanu Weds Manu Returns released in 2015 and no female-oriented film has been able to beat that "Flop" Kangana's film till date. What a shame for the top actresses. Now obviously some people will cry that TWMR is not a female oriented film when it actually is when you look at it from box office perspective.

But okay,fine. So will Chhapaak beat the lifetime total of Raazi which is the second highest grossing female oriented film (For Kangana haters first). Now some people will again cry that Raazi was a patriotic film, Chhapaak is a "niche" film. But from the trailers it doesn't seem like a niche film.

Still fine, will Chhapaak at least cross 💯 Crores? Now don't cry again. How many excuses can "Superstar" Deepika get now? Zero didn't cross 💯 Crores and SRK lost his Superstar status after that film for some people. And he played a dwarf in that film but that wasn't an excuse, so Deepika playing a non-glamourous role shouldn't be an excuse either. After all, Deepika is a Superstar right?

For the story I hope it does.

If I were to predict, yes I think it will

I don’t know whether this will cross 100 Crore or not but I hope this movie recovers its costs so that more makers are motivated to make movies on sensitive topics (less of garbage like Housefull movies ).

no. Clash and then 2 more big movies coming out two weeks later.

Obviously anything can happen. But I don’t think it will succeed let alone be a huge success

People keep underestimating:

1. Audience

2. Deepika’s star power

At the beginning it was said no one will care about it. Now it’s making more numbers on YouTube for such small movie. Already 30M views in 2 days, incredible for a movie of its genre. It is still trending at #1, it was trending worldwide as well. Those are the stats. There’s genuine interest in this movie. All the posters crossed every poster of whatever movie it is clashing with. I think if last movies were anything to go by, then nothing is set and stone anymore and I cannot wait to laugh at people thinking it will barely be a success.

I don't know if it will because its deffo not a feel good movie. But I hope it becomes a success whatever the number is. BW needs more movies such as this.

In 2006, 50 crores was a big deal. Now it's not.

100 crores isn't a big deal today. It's the 30 crores of 2006.
