Hey guys. As I've mentioned here before, I'm totally disconnected with the Indian TV world. I only watch hindi movies and am watching BB this year after 5ish years, so even though I'm enjoying the show, there are huge gaps in my knowledge because of lack of context. You guys were super sweet when I enquired about the Madhurima/Vishal situation. So many of you replied with detailed history with clips. So I'm calling on you to help me (and others like me) again lol.

What's the scene with Vikas?

Seems like everyone agrees that he is a great strategist. Is this because of his BB history? He is not a former winner right? And I'm guessing he's an actor? Please do help me out here, as my enjoyment of his entry will be so much higher if I have the full context of his image/past. Also, clips are welcome.

Vikas Gupta is not an actor. He is a tv producer and head of a channel.

He is also the host of MTV ace of space, which is similar to bigg boss where he does the role of Salman Khan.

He is respected a lot in tv industry. At a very young age in mid twenties, he became a CEO.

Now coming to the details about his tenure in bigg boss, I don't think he was some great strategist. But he is smart and has the capacity to turn unfavorable situation also to his benefit.

When he joined BB11 , Salman Khan and channel were in favour of Shilpa and supported Shilpa Shinde. The narrative was against him.

He beautifully turned the situation to his advantage and there was a point when everyone respected and loved him. Even channel had to stop their bias and started supporting him.

He is not some great gamer like others have stated here. But he is sharp and smart and can turn challenges into opportunities.

He came third in his season. He was excellent but Hina khan and Shilpa were TV actors with huge fan following so they made it to top 2.

P.S- No, Not a vikas fan. I supported hina but loved the way he played game

Waise i loved there showing physical and mental breakdown ,vikas analysing everyone personalities

Though i didn't like vikas bringing out cintestant personal lives in the show

Haha, paras is trying hard to become like him.

He's extremely overrated. I don't expect him to flip the game.

Here's three things that work against him from Season 11

#1: He was at the center of the main storyline in S11 thanks to his outside controversy with Shilpa. Similar to Rashmi vs Sid this season. That won't be the case this year.

#2: There's not a ton of mind-games this year. Sab aage se khel rahein hain. Exploiting that was his strength.

#3: The most obvious one is he has no motivation to try too hard. He's just a guest acting like a player. He might have an agenda but I doubt any HM is stupid enough to actually believe he's another HM.
