It was such a contrived way to make Babita the villain and the root of all problems. And to think a woman (RS) wrote this about another woman 🤔. I can’t believe they used Babita out of everyone. Why didn’t Khatri and Ashok and Lovely had to repent for their deeds??? 🙄. Just makes me sick thinking about it.

If that was their strategy, then it failed big time. Instead of being sympathetic towards Mini, everyone’s pissed at the writers for taking this route because it just looks so forced.

People act as if Babita should have never existed. If she didn’t exist, neither would Mini, nor would Arya lol.

Have said this million times but this show was about Babita’s journey, and not only did they not complete her journey in a proper manner, they did complete injustice to her character as well.

I think ultimately, the hypocrisy of the PH is showing through. So much for a commentary on the mistreatment of women in society. I understand that Khatri can't be punished for every single thing without any proof, but for the things where he clearly was in the wrong and there were witnesses, why let it slide?

Khatri should be in jail, period.

@bold - exactly. They ruined their own project. Bade aaye. Not only that, along with Babita, I wanted to see Minnie get a second chance in life too, where she got to experience a happy, loving family, both parents, good role models, a 'normal' life... but no, they had to make her a survivor, a victor not a victim. Why burden a 17/18-year-old with all that, especially after showing her dealing with depression (which they also seemed to take very lightly)?

I said it before, you can't force sympathy. It's either there or it's not. By forcing the narrative, KK shot themselves in the foot. Minnie was a great character but then she overtook everything and that's something that I can't stomach. If the show had been always centered around her, then yes, I can. If it had made a natural progression to her being the focus, then sure. But they literally inserted her in every single thing when she wasn't needed. Whether it was Hanita's romance, Naeem Bi's family drama, the wedding celebrations, the wedding itself, literally every freaking where it was just Minnie, Minnie, MINNIE. Dimaag khaa liya tha iss ladki ne. 😡

Itni behremi se Babita ko maara hai ki mein kya bataon. Itni nafrat, woh bhi Babita ke liye? Ek maa, biwi, aur aurat? KK kiski dushmani hum par aur Babita par nikal raa hai. 😒

NB's family drama and the way she convinced Irfan was what tipped things over for me. They just went overboard and didn't know where to stop.

Mini's bhashan to Ashok ,the phone call to HS, her body language everything was OTT for my taste. This 'Minnie everywhere ' continued and the last nail in the coffin was Irfan drama. I finally understood things will never improve and stopped watching.

The amount of redemption they did to Babita in an implied mode is on another level 😆

Babita left the restaurant in Mini’s name because Arya would inherit all her father’s wealth as well as the Haveli. So, she wanted to at least leave the restaurant for Mini.

Babita’s employees would share their problems with her and she would tell them one shouldn't glorify their pain. She would advise that everyone should aim to be a victor and not a victim. 😆 She told everyone to be like her daughter, and also gave the credit of PB restaurant to Mini.

I was going to post something for it last night, but then Dad and I got into an argument wherein he said I'm on my own when it comes to preparing for my departure for Spain. I was already busy and stressed in preparing for that but now I'm even more so.

I'll try to put something up tonight though. Sorry for the delay.

No no no worries at all. I was just checking. Take all your time. We don’t really have to do the rewatch if you are not up for it. Someone can probably open the threads and everyone can start discussing. Whatever everyone wants. I myself don’t know how much I can contribute to those threads.
