Let's talk about Imarti first.. As a doctor, first and foremost, I find her decision to not have the operation as stupid.. she put her father and husband through hell.. there was nothing brave about this.. it was stupid.. there is a one in a million chance that she could have survived but there was still a chance.. Chalo maan Lia she wanted to make the best of available time... Did she really make the best use of it? Hanuman became a drunkard post her death and Her father hated Hanuman for years.. Imarti had immense fighting spirit lekin ultimately she too did "Seva" of an abuser, the same "Seva" that Babita is locked for

Then there is Mini.. you do not become a foster mother if you wipe your mother's tears.. Babita still heard taunts pf Lovely for 17 years.. she lived life like she used to for 17 years.. Mini could not and did not do much during this period

Yes.. she gave her mother wings for one year post Ashok's infidelity revelation and she deserves full credit for that.. but giving someone wings does not make you a foster mother

It was such a contrived way to make Babita the villain and the root of all problems. And to think a woman (RS) wrote this about another woman 🤔. I can’t believe they used Babita out of everyone. Why didn’t Khatri and Ashok and Lovely had to repent for their deeds??? 🙄. Just makes me sick thinking about it.

If that was their strategy, then it failed big time. Instead of being sympathetic towards Mini, everyone’s pissed at the writers for taking this route because it just looks so forced.

People act as if Babita should have never existed. If she didn’t exist, neither would Mini, nor would Arya lol.

Have said this million times but this show was about Babita’s journey, and not only did they not complete her journey in a good manner, they did complete injustice to her character as well.

Khatri being let off is forever going to piss me off. That fcking molester got off scott free, and got the last laugh in making Babita's life miserable? Are you for fcking real?? And what did Babita get in the end? Death? This was to be her story? Can't accept it and never will.

I said it before, you can't force sympathy. It's either there or it's not. By forcing the narrative, KK shot themselves in the foot. Minnie was a great character but then she overtook everything and that's something that I can't stomach. If the show had been always centered around her, then yes, I can. If it had made a natural progression to her being the focus, then sure. But they literally inserted her in every single thing when she wasn't needed. Whether it was Hanita's romance, Naeem Bi's family drama, the wedding celebrations, the wedding itself, literally every freaking where it was just Minnie, Minnie, MINNIE. Dimaag khaa liya tha iss ladki ne. 😡

Exactly! Agar Babita nayi hoti, toh inki yeh so called progressive story bhi ni hoti. 🤪

Itni behremi se Babita ko maara hai ki mein kya bataon. Itni nafrat, woh bhi Babita ke liye? Ek maa, biwi, aur aurat? KK kiski dushmani hum par aur Babita par nikal raa hai. 😒

He was? Oh! I must have missed that post. I saw one of him holding a device, standing with Beeji and NB, but he was in a T-shirt and jeans.

Matters have reached a point where no one gives a damn about Babita as long as Minnie and HS are there. Even now, so many viewers are willing to see HS rather than Babita when the truth is that this has always meant to be about Babita's story. It was supposed to be her journey to emancipation. Her journey to becoming independent and highly successful. Minnie and HS played an important in that journey, but they weren't supposed to eclipse the story in the manner that they did.

Matlab Maa ka mardo par kal ka aaya hoya admi bachna chahiye. The fck kinda logic is this? I'm not faulting the viewers for thinking this way, because the fault lies solely with the writers. It's their fault for butchering Babita's character to this extent. It's their fault that they wrote the best materials for HS & Minnie but saved disgusting lines like, "teri parahi ke baad, jahan humein teekh lage, wahan hum tumhari shaadi karvadenge" for Babita. The terrace scene was more than enough proof that they are still more than capable of writing class PB styled scenes. They just CHOSE to not do it so that it'll be easier for the audience to hate Babita and feel the most sympathy for Minnie, and to a large extent HS.

I just can't believe they actually went out of their way to make Babita the villain of this show. Whether she was alive or dead, all the sacrifices that Minnie made, all the trauma and the source of her grief has been linked back to Babita. Disgusted and appalled don't even come close to expressing how I feel.

@bold - this made me almost want to throw up in disgust, I kid you now. It's so clear that they systematically took apart everything they had built up in Babita's arc previously. Deliberate, and ruthless. Patiala BABES - the entire name and essence was about mother and daughter's journey together. Babes learning to fly and discover herself.

I also agree that no matter how much I love HS, and everything to do with him, including his bond with Minnie, her finding a father (figure), HS loving her as his own, etc. I cannot forgive KK for what they did with Babita's character. The worst was the way they degraded the notion of housewives and their dignity. I cannot believe that we're almost in 2020 and KK dished out stuff like that, practically insulting millions of women who choose to be housewives (and their supportive families).

That is the lamest thing I have EVER seen, especially on ITV. And you wonder why women are still disrespected by men, when women in positions of power/influence cannot themselves be fair to other women. In a way, I'm even more pissed off just reading that Babita had to open up the restaurant to show Minnie she could do it, rather than sticking to her guns and remaining a housewife and still having her own identity, if that's what she really desired. I would have preferred Minnie to understand this perspective 5 years on, but no, KK had other ideas.😡
