Was Khilji really a bad guy?

Forgive me if I'm wrong because I watched Padmaavat only once and it was a forgettable movie for me. But if I recall it correctly I don't see how Khilji is a bad guy. Conquering the kingdoms and Queens of other Kings was a normal thing back in the day. How are we so sure that Khilji was going to rape Padmaavati? He wasn't a jerk to his wife or mistress (mister?). He loved his wife and she loved him back too. He just wanted another woman as his second wife. I know it is morally wrong in today's times, but during those times it was seen as a normal thing.

I'm just speaking based on the context of the movie. So please don't open History books for me.

he had lot of KHUJLI to see padmavati but all went in vain

movie was good only for ranveer 👍🏼

He was going to rape her, it wasn't explicitly shown but you saw how he was treating one of the princess he has captured.

Another woman who was already someone else's wife. So what is your point??

I know that Padmavat was a forgettable movie..Thanks to SLB....but the scene where Khilji raped and killed another woman on his wedding day is still stuck to my mind..🤢

huh?? He didn't raped and killed any woman in his wedding day. He was having fun with one of his concubine and than a man protested against it, and he killed him.

In Malik Mohammad Jyasi's fictional epic poem Khilji is a villain who lusted after another man's wife and waged war over it.

In history, Khilji is just another conqueror. Whether he is a hero or villain depends on whose history you read.

But that was considered normal back then became women weren't considered human beings. They were properties of men. Khilji had the same beliefs but was also a bit crazy. Is that enough to call him the bad guy?
