Bigg Boss 13: Happy if Rashami Desai wins instead of my daughter, says Devoleena Bhattacharjee's mother

Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss 13 has entered its eighth week. The current contestants in the house are Sidharth Shukla, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rashami Desai, Asim Riaz, Arti Singh, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Paras Chhabra, Mahira Sharma, Shefali Jariwala, Himanshi Khurana and Vishal Aditya Singh.
In an exclusive interaction with Mirror Online, Devoleena's mother Anima Bhattacharjee spoke at length about her daughter, whom she calls 'Maina', her friendship with Rashami, her equation with Sidharth and much more.
Addressing the rumours of Devoleena quitting the house, Anima said, "My daughter is a fighter. I know that she won't quit and even I don't want her to. She has been attended by doctors inside the house and will be fine in a few days."
She, however, added that she does not want Devoleena to participate in tasks where there is physical strength involved.
She also said that Devoleena has been giving her 100 per cent inside the house, be it during tasks or while interacting with the housemates and building a connection.
Since the past few episodes, Devoleena could be seen flirting with Sidharth and fans are loving the chemistry between the duo. On this, Anima said, "I am loving and enjoying the cute banter between them."
She added that she wants Devoleena and Sidharth to be friends inside the house, and wishes that the friendship remains the same even after the show gets over.
She also said that Sidharth's aggression, which has been the highlight of the show since the very beginning, is quite normal given the circumstances they have to live in.
"There is negativity inside the house mainly due to frustration. Everyone is agitated because it is difficult to live in a house with unknown people, without the luxuries, and without any contact with the outside world," she said on the constant fights happening inside the house.
Devoleena and Rashami are the best of friends inside the Bigg Boss house. Expressing her love for the latter, Anima said, "Rashami and Devoleena are equal for me. I love the bond that they share and I am thankful that my daughter has such a caring person like Rashami inside the house to look after her and stand by her."
She went on to say that she would not mind and would be happy even if Rashami wins over Devoleena and if the two friends have to face each other in the finale. "Victory or loss does not matter to me. What matters to me is their friendship. Even if Rashami wins instead of Maina (Devoleena), I'll celebrate because now she is my daughter too."
She said that she wants Devoleena to be friends with everyone inside the house and not be with just a few selective people.
On being asked about the top three contestants, Anima said, "Apart from Maina, I feel Sidharth, Rashami, and Asim deserve to be in the top three positions."
