I personally don’t think Ramadan will affect it much. This looks like a low to mid-budget niche film. It just needs good reviews but much better marketing and multiplex audiences will go for it.

Won't people go see the movie because of Ramadan?
And: yes, I know there's a big Muslim population in India, but isn't like a lot more Hindus..and those won't observe Ramadan?
So.. can't the Hindus /non Muslims make this movie /other movie a hit?
Or do you mean she needs any available person, Hindu or Muslim or whatever ..to get some sales, any sales?
Ramadan is generally considered a dull period for films. Believe it or not, but Muslims contribute A LOT to boxoffice and cinema going in B and C centers.
This will have to perform extraordinarily well in multiplexes of A centers, which is hard as those folks prefer Hollywood films and the biggest and most hyped Hindi films.

Oh, okay, got it.
So basically you are saying that releasing in Ramadan is bad for ANY movie because that extra from Muslim moviegoers - even if it's just B, C centres ( no clue what that means, sorry) might seal the movie's fate... especially if the movie is not predicted to have big numbers at Box office.
But why would producers do that, then? Isn't this, like you've said, a way of self -sabotage?

Producers aren't as smart as you think. The belief is that a movie might magically work if there is nothing around it as long as they get some decent buzz and good reviews. However, for that to happen you need a a somewhat bankable actor/actress.
Whoa!!! Ab aaya na oot pahad ke neeche. Ab aayega maza. Pari gets a proper movie finally. Also realised her lips are shaped just like mine. No wonder I look so ordinary 😳
Parineeti is a good actress. Bas movie dawat e ishq jaisa na ho.
Loved her short role in golmaal again.
