I guess you are saying he worded it wrongly.

Blunt is okay, just what he said is not right for everyone.

Tiger is muscles. He's had huge success with action movies without being an 'actor' per se.

Which is why I've said 'GENERALISATION is A BEYOTCH'.

True..and ya u understood what I wrote..he worded it wrongly as he isn't that articulate or politically correct. So take his words in his context.

Also I find Tiger to be a pretty decent actor ..have seen both Baaghi and SOTY..both different genres..one worked one didn't. But liked his acting in both.

Wahi toh. It is about choice. Even good actors he's talking about and his beta also spend a good amount of their day in the gym to maintain a lean body. Kuch logo ke choice hai woh zyaada wazandaar workout aur 20 min zyaada karte hai. Bas. Buddhe ka doley sholey comment doesn't make any sense it only tells what is in his mind... uske dimag mein kuch actors the jiske success usse pasand nahin, jaise Hrithik ya Tiger ya Varun ya Lallu. Toh usne bol diya.

Dadaji ke software ke liye update ki zarurat hai. Times have changed...new features must be added.

Aap Microsoft ke zamane se ho...Microsoft is being used these days. But when you have Amazon (with same but improved features) in the market why would anyone opt for MS? Samajhdaar wohi hota hai Jo Google hota hai which is changing as per today's needs.

Let's be honest : we all admire good looking/fit people.

Most ladies have to look pretty but also be fit- you don't really see overweight actors as main leads- not even in Hollywood!!!- until last few years/decade..

Heck, Katrina survived and flourshed EXACTLY because she is SO good looking and fit- and being so pretty/fit didn't hurt DP, PC and so on.

Let's not pretend the nepo kids aren't judged on their looks, either. I even admit to like Jhanvi more than Alia because she looks- for me- better both on face and body. Acting wise I think they are similar ...but Jhanvi might overtake Alia ESPECIALLY because she has a BETTER body .. of course, ONLY if KJO gives her best scripts around, like he did with Allu.

Tiger Shroff from newer gens is hugely successful and has very little to no acting skill. SO he is an example of being successful because you are fit.#

Then you have an Ishaan Khatter who can eat Tiger S. with acting, yet hasn't had such a huge success or impact...

Sid Malhotra is also still in movies , after so MANY flops, because 'he's cute', 'he's sexy' and part of Indian moviegoers love him for that (and probably because of KJo, too).

SO see? there are guys that 'get by ' just for that 'fit' /'cute' reason alone.

Of course good looks r important in showbiz..and Rishi knows it too so he said what he said about Nawaz. He wasn't saying Nawaz is not a good actor..he said he won't get those running around trees and singing a song roles. Which is precisely what is happening. He is hailed as a good actor but isn't as popular with masses as Ranbir or Ranveer.

And no one is saying don't be fit. You need to look the part u r playing. If u r overweight people won't look at u as conventional hero/heroine material unless u do something truly exemplary and applaud worthy.

Katrina is fit and beautiful and successful coz that was what was required from her. She played roles where she had to look beautiful and dance well. She did that very well and found success. So she worked on her skill. Also learned Hindi and worked very hard.

I like Alia more than Jhanvi and find her better looking and a better actor..she is already successful..so will let that pass. Tiger Shroff has acting skills..so will let that pass too.

Ishaan is still newer compared to tiger so will wait..also have only seen his moves and not movies. But Dhadak was a hit.

Sid Malhotra is cute n sexy but nowadays I don't see any of his fans in real life.. people were drooling over his body during SOTY but hardly anyone does that now. He is also not as successful..is just sustaining..

Which proves acting is a pre requisite

But I didn't see Rishi saying, don't be fit, he is just saying building muscles doesn't make you actors, learn acting, priorities should be acting skills.

Which, again, I AGREE with.

But he generalised. Giving example his own son, Ranveer and Vicky was wrong because all three have had muscular bodies...........

That's why I've said Rishi chose some WRONG examples and shouldn't generalise- as there are ACTION actors that made huge careers out of that with some or little ACTING involved- Akki was ridiculed for his 'acting' for years, SRK was accused of overacting, Salman himself says he isn't acting, Tiger says he's not gonna concentrate on acting. Yet all these are hugely successfulat Box Office. HECK, some of the biggest HW actors (box office/hit-wise) aren't 'acting geniuses' but have(had) FIT bodies and charm....Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, nowadays Dwaine'The Rock' Johnson...

So maybe young guys look at such examples and think- 'if THEY can do it, why not me?' (I disagree with them but cannot bl;ame them for thinking that)

Firstly he is giving this advice to new comers / strugglers who already have it tough breaking into the nepo heavy industry, where they rarely get to audition for the lead characters (where they can showcase their talent) plus now he wants them to not spend money on looking fit and good as well..... matlab raha Saha chance bhi gaya haath se .....

Useless advice Mr. Kapoor.... would've fit in an ideal world, unfortunately, your nepo heavy industry isn't that supportive

I don’t agree. I can’t watch Saif Ali Khan movies cause his face is similar to that camel that sells cigarettes 🤣

This is what Bollywood created themselves. They tried to cover mediocrity with aesthetics and sell it and now it has become so normal that audience expects just that. If they would have just concentrated on talent and never tried to sell their nepotism ka products irrespective of whether they have talent or not, things wouldn't be like that. I personally don't like how actors are judged based on their looks either. It shouldn't be a priority. Of course I want actors to be well groomed but I first want them to be decent actors who work on their craft. Its sad the priorities of actors these days start with gym and clinics rather than acting classes. Wonder how far they will reach with that.
