Okay, I found some Indian serials subtitled in English on youtube by Colors TV and Set TV and would appreciate any insight on how well they fit my thread request:
Haasil
Rang Rasiya
Madhubala
Beintehaa
I know Haasil has an obsessed villain, but I'm not sure about the quality of the drama or if he comes off as hot/attractive as it seems everyone loved the hero more.
Haasil is an obsessive love story and the villain is a played by Zahid Khan who is pretty hot. I don't much about the story line.
Madhubala seems to have what I want as the leads have awesome chemistry and the hero is pretty villainous. The series is also well-known. But, how intense is the romance: Does the male lead become possessive/obsessive after falling for the female lead?
Ooh Madhubala had one heck of love story. The hero is a shaded character in the beginning. He does marry the heroine something like forcefully but he doesn't get all obsessed with her after falling in love. But their post marriage scenes are cute. You should watch it for like a bad guy failing for a good girl kinda thing. The serial was really long as it was very popular so Idk how it ended but the beginning was really good. Especially their post marriage parts.
I know Beintehaa is supposed to be a really good romance, but does the male lead ever become possessive/obsessive over the heroine?
No. Beintehaa is a sweet kinda love story. Like these two people who are like world apart get married and then have their ups and downs. The hero never gets obsessed or as such with the girl. He's like a rich father's spoilt son. Hes neither a grey character or a bad boy. If you like that type of storyline then I suggest Qubool Hai too.
There aren't much obsessed kinda stories in hindi serials.
You can check out Swabhagwati bhaava for a obsessed lover. This guy falls for a girl and then marries her. But hes very possessive and obsessive. Hes like a smart and hot villain but he is a villain, hes not a grey hero. He is a villain who troubles his wife a lot. Even when she runs away from him, he tries to find her and is after her even after she gets married to someone else. So yeah hes one heck of obsessed in love person.
If you want an obsessed female lead check out Beyhadh.
Otherwise there are lot of serials where the bad guy falls for the good girl. If you're interested in that, try Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon. Its about a rich tycoon and a timid girl who fall in love despite being polar opposite. Hes isn't obsessed about her but is possessive to a certain level.
Bashar momin definitely fits, only I don't find the male lead to be all that attractive, lol.
Really?? š±
I love Faysal Qureshi. I think more than his looks, for his acting. He is perhaps the best actor amongst all leading men in Pak dramas. He is too good with subtle nuisances while performing. So much so that i end up rooting for his character, even in the worst of his dramas.
Purely because of his acting talent, i place him above Zahid Ahmed, who is a close second in my favorites list. Zahid is certainly more manly with his looks, height and oh-that-deep-voice. He is another terrific actor but goes overboard sometimes. But Faysal bowls me over with his performance every single time.
As much i would hate Bashar the character for some of his actions, Faysal made him redeemable at the end.
u must try.. I m sure u love it.
