Salma.....

Yaar I am not understanding this Salma character at all... Does she love Roshni at all, or everything she is pretending... The way she was holding her and pacifying Roshni looked so genuine .. Her eyes were wet and it looked like she was genuinely concerned for her daughter.... But the same her didn't even think once to join hands with jinns to break her marriage last time!! Does she want Roshni only to make money, or she has atleast a little love and concern for her daughter??!! She seems like a bipolar character to me!

She definitely has love and care for Rohsni. She might have been greedy about money and her nature might be finding easy ways to earn money but it doesn't mean she couldn't have love and care for the daughter she brought up. Not just today she always looked genuine whenever she was caring her that is why despite Saima's money minded nature , Roshni always treated her as Ammi and still going and seeking comfort from Salma when she is feeling emotionally weak. As per Salma even Roshni would be happy with money so she tried to marry her off to Sameer. And Salma doesn't know that Roshni has feeling for Aman at the time when she was joining hands with Jin..at that time as per Salma , Rosni 's marriage was too just a deal for money so for some more money she didn't mind to break the marriage. But now after knowing that Roshni started to like Aman if she still continues to try to break her marriage for money or not is what makes difference about her character. I strongly feel that even Salam would change by the end of the story and would redeem her self by realizing family and love are above money or anything else.

Ohk, now that makes some sense... I had been trying to understand the equation between the mom-daughter duo from the very first episode... Every other scene I get more confused and failed to understand her!!

Coming to her affection for Roshni, Roshni had always fought with her for being money minded... And she clearly knows that Roshni would never agree to marry a married man, she has her principles... and that's the reason she kept the truth away from her about Sameer ... Inspite of that she has always manipulated Roshni to get her things done...But the same time I could feel the love and concern in most of their conversation too... That's were I get confused... The concern I see, is it genuine or not!! May be fithrath se wakif... She loves her, at the same time she's is money minded also!

True, Roshni has not supported her mother's money minded thinking and still treated her as a mother since she knows that Salma always cares for her. This is what Roshni was saying to Aman in first few episodes .. like when he was insulting Rohsni's mother and family background she hasn't tried to justify her mother's profession in past but only was telling him that a mother is a mother not matter what she does and a mother can't be disrespected. Basically Rohsni is respecting Salma as her mother though she clearly hates her mother's thinking of getting her to marry off to Sameer for money.. People like Salma are so real and we could see them very often around us. This show is all about love care emotions and family. No matter it's Villain or hero CV's are always trying to show how they love and care about their family. No this show is not basically about Jin and jaadu.. it's basically about relationships love and conflicting emotions.. that's what CV's hinted always.. Jin and magic are there only as back drop.

Ya one thing I liked is the tawaif concept... I haven't seen any such to be part of any ITV drama before... They are also shown as human beings with heart, which has emotions!! And they are trying to value their emotions too, which is quite appreciated!

Salma is needed to be good now. Or else who will tell the secrets behind Roshni's birth? Also that it was Salma who took the money and tried to marry her a married man.

So they are making her good. Yes! I agree I am also finding Salma.............BIPOLAR . 😔
