Because there aren't enough good Malayalam scripts to remake from.
Hera Pheri, Hungama, Hulchul, Bhool Bhulaiyya, Garam Masala and so on are all Malayalam movie remakes.

Yes but some of them were Priyadarshan movies only, remade in Hindi, while others he got the rights and than remade them in Hindi.

Wow had no idea about that... I am not sure I have seen Hungama but the others u mentioned are good ones.. I think Paresh Rawal needs to come back.. he only does decent comedy movies

Paresh said he will only do, until he gets a good script. Plus Neeraj Vora's dead had halted Hera Pheri series, as he was Priyadarshan's main Hindi writer..
